Did you stay until the end ? - MadCap2008
Yes, the bitter end. And no, no one offered to give me my $ back, but since I was in a lux box paid for by a long time buddy's company, at least a bit of he sting was lessened by free food and booze.
Kind of like getting a root canal in a REALLY comfortable chair. |

Was there even enough booze to numb the pain of that pathetic performance? |

The usually assortment of shoddy defense, poor decision making, plus poor face off % when things were still in reach...plus the fact that the Bruins are just suffocating defensively with a lead. Throw the game tape out and focus on game 3. |

Not nearly enough, especially since I stopped midway thru the second period since I had to be ok to drive home. |

Typical Edmonton fan response. It's comical. Some of the clowns in your fan base would think that is fair. |

Edmonton DOESN'T have the goods for Letang. They don't have what we need. Keep in mind, one of those forwards you would be craving to get would be making quite a bit very soon.
Anaheim would be interesting though; same with Dallas (no, not Joe Morrow coming back), Chicago, Minnesota, for starters |

There would be definite interest in him. - Gunner Staal
Agree to disagree, well, not as much as you think. He has pissed off alot of people and organizations. I can see it now, Cooke ends up in Ottawa. It's safe to assume that won't happen, nor Boston, nor ..., nor ... nor ... |

If we lose this series I'm sure Shero will think about revamping our lineup. We'll go after a couple quick forwards for our bottom two lineup. As for trade talks, I'd consider Letang/Fleury for Shattenkirk/Oshie/Elliott (although I'd try to land Halak) |

penguins will make moves if they lose. especially in 4 or 5 games.
penguins need to get younger, faster, and more physical. |

I'm sorry about the loss, but some of you guys need to take a breath.
This is game 2, not 4. Boston was down 0-2 against Toronto and here they are.
Wanting Bylsma to be canned? This is the guy Pens fans rave about all the time, year after year, Jack Adams and all that. He's a good coach.
This is the 1st series I've seen Pitt look as flat, disorganized, and.. just bad, as they have. But a lot of that is because of Boston, and a handful of young and immature players with letters on the front of their jerseys in Pitt. . I'm surprised Iginla hasn't spoken up yet. Game 1 was a circus. Boston got the best player in the world off his game, just like Philly did last year. That can't happen to your captain and your A in Malkin. Game 2 wasn't as bad, thankfully, but something is just off.
Yes, the blame falls on the coach. But I wouldn't be calling for him to get fired.. especially after singing his praises not too long ago. Players have to wake themselves up just as much as the coach does.
Looking forward to game 3. I still think this is going 7. I had Pitt winning in 7, but that was with the mindset that they'd be playing their game.. their aggressive forecheck and the all-star cast of players doing what they do best. If they don't figure out how to out-skill and out-skate the strong and solid Bruins, this series is over. |

trust me. he seems like a great coach from an outsider's perspective. trust me, he often gets outcoached... and badly. |

the Pens seem to be pretty dominant every year. 99, 101, 106, 108, 72 points with Bylsma. They have 1 Cup, that crazy 7 game loss to Montreal in the semis, a game 7 1st round loss to Tampa, the circus against Philly in the 1st round, and here we are in the Conference Finals.
I don't think it's the coach. The D could definitely be better. Crosby, while he's the best player.. has his weakness of officiating/opposing teams getting under his skin. The same for Malkin. And Fleury has ALWAYS been inconsistent. . my best friend is a Pens fan so I hear it all the time.. and I had him on my fantasy team in 2010 and 2011. If Crosby and Malkin can LEAD their team, even through dirty teams and calls they don't agree with, and Fleury can be on his A game.. Pitt is as good a team as any. Look at this roster, the core of this team is so so good.. and they have a handful of solid prospects coming up. |

Holy poop.. what's up with your team fellas? You took the Sens apart and looked unbeatable, and now Boston is handing you your asses? That little wiener Marchand is schooling your guys. WTF? |

the defense could be better by playing a better system. Bylsma's system works great in the regular season. but when you get to the playoffs and the opponents tighten up and get going, running and gunning is tough. the fact is, he has no defensive system. his defense is offense and that just doesn't work in the playoffs. |

If we gonna lose, I expect us to go down fighting and playing with heart/moving our feet. That didn't happen last night. We played like a non playoff team. So many guys have been playing like they don't care. |
