My sense is #Isles will go to camp with Nabokov/Poulin/Nilsson as goalies and Matt Donovan most likely D-man to fill Streit's roster spot. - Bags502

Hamonic's deal should be pretty long and pricey. Our cap situation may even cause us to overspend a bit.
Xxkeaner17xX - keaner17
I think the way he played in the playoffs, he deserves a pretty good deal even though he struggled at times during the early part of the regular season. He showed up when the games mattered the most. Hoping for a 5 year deal. Maybe in the 3-3.5 mil per range. |

It is but that's what I saw happening when we didn't sign Streit or trade him at the deadline. |

I hope so but he is going to get close or above 5 million a year and I don't see the rangers giving him that. - Vukota
They won't and they couldn't anyway if they wanted to. They have to re-sign a ton of RFA's this year and need money for them and the others they need to re-sign next summer. |

no no no...its definitely news that they arent going to resign him...it shouldnt be news that youre the only one that sees it as a good thing; i, along with others have wanted him gone since last years deadline... - LetsGoIsles
Oh I know. There were a few of us who were talking about him two seasons ago. I wasn't sure how many would lineup to say it was a mistake. Kencan is punching a wall in tears somewhere right now. What the hell will he do with all of his Boyes memoribillia?

As for other #Isles potential UFAs, Brad Boyes unlikely to return but still talking, and Evgeni Nabokov very likely to be back before 7/5.

Eh, he's taking the predictable road by saying the Isles will continue to fill most needs internally. Still, we need some cap build up here.

Philly I think is over the cap. Unless they do something with bryz they aren't forking over 5 million for Streit. Tampa is looking for D, just a thought. Detroit i could see. He might even be a good fit there? |

Im not excited till he is signed by another team.... as of this moment Snow is showing Brad what his jersey would look like with a C on the front.

if they did, it would be Redden all over again for them. Sather isn't going down that road again. My guess is that Streit winds up out west on a team deep on "D" but with no PP QB. |
