You are mistaken. He tried to chop his glove into two. Or was it push it out of the way? - flyer_nutter
Yeah. I don't get the whole what Keith did was bad, but what Carter did was just a little tap...a 2-hand chop tap that certainly looked like it had some force behind it.
Also, anybody surprised the Pens are in a game where they've gotten 5 penalties compared to the Bruins' 2? |

And yet he did... Hell, he didn't even look when he took his little 2-hand chop. - wolfhounds
No, he didn't intentionally try and slash his hand. Anymore then Keith intended to whack Carter in the face. Carter was looking directly down at the glove.

Kimmo is a better two way defenseman than Letang. - Jsaquella
Kimmo Timonen is amazing. Right up there as being one of the best defenseman the Flyers have ever had in the history of the organization. Amazing player. I can't imagine life without him on this team. It was rough not having Eric Desjardins for a short time as our number 1. |

I feel the Flyers have the same in Grossman, Coburn and Luke Schenn. I'm speaking from my view of the players (Orpik vs. Letang) then what the Flyers need... - dingo8urbaby
I know. But you stated that you hate Letang and that can skew your view on him. |

Sorry, MJL, but Carter doesn't look as he chops down.

I just think its a little female dog play personally. Especially after the exchange they had earlier on the play. If Carter was mad, drop the gloves or make a hit. Just me. - flyer_nutter
It is a Richard move, you know what is an even bigger female dog play? Hitting a guy in the face from behind with your stick as retaliation (intentional or not). |

I feel like the Flyers have a similar player in Grossmann. - stveshdy
I wouldnt go defending too many players after the last 2 seasons and especially this one.
Grossmann would be one of those guys though. Before his injury he was the teams best D-man on most nights. He has most of the time been a rock on D since his arrival, and given his all every night.
I'd like to keep him over a guy like Coburn. I'd always keep the guy with more heart if it comes down to it, and Grossmann is also more consistent in his own zone. The injuries do scare me though. |

True true.
Both were dirty, but if Keith misses time so should Carter. That was a play that could easily have broken fingers or a hand.
Just a nutters thoughts. No worries here. |

Better on offense I don't think so? - Philly1980
No, better two way, which means his combined offense and defense is better |

Your homerism to anything to do with the Flyers is becoming more clear every day. Anything to do with the team, any decision, is perfection. Even former players are gold. |

3 goals 5a... He should have had 20... The last game he was invisible after the Giroux hit... This series he's been invisible. - Philly1980
He has been. Unfortunately, Letang hasn't been invisible, his play has been noticeably bad. |

After watching that video, Keith has to be smarter than that. I don't think he wanted to hit Carter in the face but intended to hit him in the chest area. Giving Carter a hard tap back for even attempting to hit his glove/hand. |

I agree, it's really part of the game. And if Keith whacks him on the arm instead of the face, I doubt there's even a penalty called. I don't think Keith intended to whack him in the face. It was just reactionary.

You're correct, I was wrong about that. - MJL
Makes him look less guilty that way...
That being said, I doubt he was trying to hurt Keith, same as Keith's stupid swing. |

Ok but we all know letang is a pure offensive damn... Something this team needs and is really going to Ned once kimmo retires |
