Borderline...he did stick the leg out - Jsaquella
Yeah. I couldn't decide if he stuck it out or just left it hanging out there... |

If Kreijci pulls the trigger there we're talking about how the Pens are toast.... |

Vokoun's playoff save % is .930+ this year, if only Bryzgalov could come up with something even remotely close to that there wouldn't be months of buyout talk.
I guess it is unfair to compare since Vokoun has nearly 3x the cap hit.
In 11 playoff games last year Bryzgalov had a 3.46 gaa, with a putrid .887 save %.
Rick Tabaracci laughs at those numbers. |

Sorry, MJL, but Carter doesn't look as he chops down.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49YHRW0ve0k - wolfhounds
I just watched that for the first time. Rewound a few times...
I think Carter was trying to come around and come down with a firm stick in front of him, maybe to agitate or antagonize him...I don't think it was his intention to slash his wrist area as he was bending down to pick up his glove...it just sort of happened that way...and it looked like the glove bore the brunt of the force....the stick didn't seem to get much beyond a glancing tap on Keith's hand with the stem area of the stickblade.
I don't think it was Carter's objective all along to slash the wrist or cause injury there, I think he was going for something different, something more akin to a hockey/checking play, and it just kind of happened that Keith bent down to pick his glove and Carter came down firm, reactively...he deserves a slash call at worst imo...now, the Keith slash to Carter's face was a bit more reckless, even if he didn't mean to hit him in there, the way he swung his stick around, while understandably some sort of knee-jerk type of reaction probably made out of surprise, instant anger and a desire for vengeance, is still deserving of a suspension, esp given his history.
I would have given Carter a 2 min slashing penalty and Keith a 5 min slashing major, 10 min game misconduct and 2 game suspension. At least that's my first blush thoughts on it, without much research of the context or different angles etc. |

I'm only watching this because I'm hoping that BOTH teams lose.

Yeah, if Pulock, Horvat or others we've talked about are there, they'd be my choice before Shinkaruk or Domi - Jsaquella
Personally, I'd go Shinkaruk over Horvat... |

I love watching the Penguins lose.
Even if it takes almost 5 periods of hockey....
Even if it's to the Bruins. |

Jagr was the best player in OT...mainly because everyone was so tired that they were skating at his speed |

Crosby looked possessed the shift before the Bruins scored...thought he was going to will the puck in himself.
But ain't that always the way...close at one end, in at the other. |

Holy (frank). Between Bergeron, Chara, Marchand, and Lucic the Bruins have some collection of beaks on their face. |

Amazing Jagr isn't leaving every other game with a groin injury this year isn't it? |

He's been snakebite in the playoffs. Hasn't been able to score goals, but he's played well and created a bunch of chances. |
