that first offer i could see scoffing at, but i think the majority of people would trip over themselves for a signed letang, warts and all, for coburn and read - stayinthefnnet

What's the worry on Fleury? Or do we still not understand that the goalie can only do so much when the team in front of him refuses to play team defense? Oh, and when they keep giving Letang so much ice time... - Kineada
Did you watch last game? Or the Isles series?
Whats the worry? |

Sid bro, put the jaw protector back on, he is sucking this series.
Blowsma, When we are on the PP put Iggy on the left side, he absolutely wastes the left side of the ice with no right handed shot.
Nisky, go rot somewhere.
But hey its not 1-4!!!! Positives haha. |

if you get a real coach with a real system, MAF will be fine. 2008 and 2009 proved that. - SuperHenderson13

That's the most puck skill with Murray still there for PK. That's the combo that I would use against Boston. - Gunner Staal
i agree with that 100 percent. however, i just dont see them putting despres in. maybe once they are down 0 3 in the series, but by then, whats the point? despres and bennett should have already been in. regardless, letang and niskanen is (frank)ing catastrophic. i dont know how bylsma cannot see that |

It's not worth what? Trying to argue against this?
Go ahead...try to tell me with a straight face that the Penguins have played even moderately OK defense in the playoffs in front of Fleury at any point in the past three years. Really, try it. |

This game is over if Vokoun isn't playing as well as he has. Bruins get great looks, we get shots from the boards, or Kuni whiffs in the sot. |

The game is still manageable. Vokoun bought them some time to figure it out. |

If you watched the Isles series and thought Fleury's pathetic play was because of bad defense... I don't even know what to say. A child could see that the defense wasn't the reason he sucked like a Hoover. |

You guys miss scuderi. Not saying that because he won a cup away from them, just that he's a blood and guts type guy. |

When a goalie sees his team playing ZERO defense in front of him, that goalie can start to get messed up in the head. He'll start making mistakes he otherwise wouldn't make because he's TRYING to be a team player and make up for the lack of defense in front of him.
THAT'S why Fleury has played "pathetic" in the playoffs for the last several years. |

the fact that martin is out there with letang speaks volumes to me how he is the only reliable defender this team has. |

So all season your team plays great in front of you. Game 1 of the first round you go in and because of their team D and your play, you get a shut out and the win. Games 2 and 3 you become a basket case?

Well. In the credit-where-credit-is-due department...at least Letang learned he has to COVER that guy standing in front of the net.
Let's hope the lesson sticks. |
