I know at times we've all called for Iginla to play on Crosby's wing, but honestly he's done nothing to earn that spot.
- rival22
Honestly he should just play with 24 and 16 on the third line and he can have his right wing spot.... 19 71 18 can be just fine. |

he sometimes looked 5 years past his prime, for sure ... but the Pen's know what he's capable of. They still have to respect the experience. - FlyerGuy

perhaps.
my money is on chicago, i feel like the western conference has looked incredibly strong, with the kings and the hawks being IMO the two best teams in the league.
whoever comes out of that finals will take the cup, but /shrug who knows. |

Not trying to troll or anything but man, you guys could get a king's ransom for Malkin in this draft... - hereticpride
One thing we couldn't get is a player as good as Malkin, so no thanks. |

would love that 3rd pick. that drouin kid is going to be special.
but I see malkin returning and letang leaving. given the defensive prospects. guys like Harrington are probably only a year away. despres will be expected to take a large role. hopefully niskanen is gone. hopefully murray sticks around. hopefully we get a real coach with a real defensive system.
should be an interesting offseason for sure... |

Ya Morrow had his hits and everything....but he was pedestrian and he is on the forecheck, TK is in there and the Bruins are on their heels. |

cant blame him. guy is put into a situation where he is destined to fail. if a guy cant keep up with his linemates, he might need new linemates.
breaking up dupuis, Crosby, kunitz was the smart thing to do. bylsma refused to cave. |

Not interested. Ship Letang wherever. Just get a defenseman who can play D in the return. |

letang and something else for #1 plus erik Johnson.
big time reach, but Johnson isn't nearly what he once was. |

I always thought the excuse that he can't keep up with that line is total BS. Billy G produced quite nicely and he was slow as frozen piss. It's not always about how fast you skate but your skills and abilities. Would have been nice to see him try it. Not like the number one line has looked all that special where you wouldn't want to break them up. |

Look you fans need to stop quitting! Last time I heard it takes 4 to win a series. I sure as hell hope the team doesn't feel this way. They played exactly how they needed to in this game and got franked by a bad goal and sick goaltending.
Fix the PP and there is no telling what could happen if they play the way they did tonight.

Consequences should be irrelevant. It's absolute bullpoop that playoff games always turn into a free for all at some point. Why call penalties ever? Seems like the more serious consequences should encourage a strict adherence to the rules. - Putzfrau
a borderline call thats made will get a bunch of people complaining about the refs screwing the game
a borderline call not made that leads to a goal will get another group complaining about refs
no matter what people want to blame the refs rather than playing to the whistle, they are professionals who have been playing with bad/good/borderline calls for a long time, cant look at one instance and say thats the game
unless it is an obvious definite penalty then let them play when its the playoffs if it doesnt effect the play, they let borderline calls go all game and its magnified when a call is/isnt made before a big play/goal |

Look my life goes on if the Pens win or lose... I care but whatever. This is what's wrong with hockey they have rules that the officials choose to ignore them and you guys with yea it's a penalty but it's OT!!! That makes no sense to me. Why hockey will always be the 4th in the major sports.
Terrible officiating ends this game. - lloyd095
Been part of the game since I've been watching...say the mid 80's. In the playoffs, especially OT, they "just let em play" more. Sure, its tough to lose after what you see as a non call, but there were non calls on both sides in OT. I love it when they put the whistles away. |

No one fan is saying thats why they lost, just emotion, we all know Rask stole that game. Seriously he earned it |

billy g played with sid. sid slowed his game down to fit his linemates style. I don't recall him playing with dupuis in 2009 a lot so speed wasn't a strength of that line.
malkin is a dynamic player who relies on speed. he builds up speed in the neutral zone and makes plays off of that. that is why he's struggling. boston has done a great job of shutting him down in the neutral zone.
as for iginla, it just depends on the contract he wants and the coaching decision we make. I will reserve judgment until then, but I would love to see him back for another year. |

Ruslan Fedotenko played great with Malkin, and he's slower than piss as well.
Edit- Ryan Malone had his bank breaking season playing largely with Malkin, and he is slower than me. |

Most of us know this, the reason we lost was 0 for 6 on the PP flat out. We live and die with PP goals and haven't gotten 1. Rask is an issue but so is not putting Iggy or Bennett out with the 1st unit. No right handed shot from the forwards handicaps the left side of the ice. ALL Blysma. |

I want Duper back first and foremost. Probably Cooke after that. If Disco is back, which I think he will be, Iggy would laugh at the mere mention of signing with the Pens.

at least i managed to be able to have respect for this team in this game. even if the result was still an 0 3 hole, if all the games were like this, my outlook would be very different. the bruins were monsters tonight, and rask was the scariest of the bunch. that crosby shift without a helmet was one of the most awe inspiring things that ive ever seen that didnt result in a goal for him. some major questions coming up for this team. |

hell of a bomb on the point on the powerplay? ugh yeah.... i dont know if that really fits the bill. im kind of looking for someone who has a hard time keeping it in the zone with a penchant for costly turnovers |
