The word here in Chicago was there is more to that story than was told. But that is a long time ago. He had a hell of a regular season and has been under the radar ever since the incident in Madison WI.

That would be a good deal but I just think that a Kane deal would cost more then what the Sabres would give up, maybe.

He definitely seems to be focused more on hockey these days. But I feel like if he's in Buffalo it would be harder for him to maintain that.

I appreciate Kane's skill, but 2 things make me hate the idea of him playing here.

1) he couldn't possibly live up to it

2) he's a nice complimentary player to me, like Vanek, but not a franchise player, like Toews is. We'd treat him that way I think and it'd be a mistake.

I think he's better than Vanek, personally. I know some people will probably disagree with me, but Kane has a hell of a lot more consistency to his game. I'd take Kane over Vanek any day.

But the biggest reason I wouldn't want him here is #1 that you listed. I've been saying that for at least 2 years now.

Most people dont consider wingers as franchise players. Kane is easily one of the best wingers in the league. IMO hes definitely not a complimentary piece either. Obviously, we have a different definition of that term.

He's not just blogging about the other teams though. He's blogging about possible trade scenarios, which is essentially why this site was started in the first place.

But I totally get what you're saying. I would think that it would make other bloggers want to leave at some point.

I like Kane but if Buffalo wants Kane then how about Foligno and Buffalo's 1st for Kane and the Hawks 1st?

I didn't necessarily find the quality of his blog about Edmonton was bad, but it must be frustrating to not have sabres blogs. Don't you have that Kevin guy too though?
