Well said. I also think Yorkman said he will be the CEO of the Isles as well when they move there. Wang very quiet this season especially since they made the playoffs and still nothing from him. I'm starting to think the writing is on the wall as far as Wang selling the team - Vukota
Hard not to think Wang will sell Vukota. Good point about Wang not saying much after the team made the playoffs. |

remember its also stated that nothing changes as long as Wang owns the team.
you could read into that as Wang isnt going to own them much longer
you could read into that as they are pushing Wang to change.
either way...
I think we will see a white and black jersey with a revamped Logo as a third jersey & it will sell like hot cakes & within 5 years it becomes the teams standard jersey.
As Die hards we say it shouldn't be, it cant be, it WONT be, but this is the reality of moving to Brooklyn, This is the reality of the team staying the Islanders! If the team had moved to KC, Seattle, Quebec we wouldn't even have that any more. As sad as it sounds this may be the ONLY way to clean the stench of the last 25 years off this franchise... new building, new colors, new logo, Still the Islanders, But the Islanders version 2.0
Who knows.. in 10-15 years maybe we can see the old orange/blue & white as a third jersey.....
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
Very well said X. You have to figure on some changes with the move to Brooklyn. Still many more positives than negatives with the team moving to Brooklyn. |

Maybe now we won't have to watch those awful between-whistle videos of the nachos being made, trying to get us to go downstairs to buy them. Literally looks like someone just diarrheas all over a plate of chips. - eichiefs9

Cannot believe Goncher got 5 mill. Streit may end up getting his money. I'd love to get a draft pick for Streit. - ses111
Meh..it would be nice to get something rather than nothing, but I'm not gonna get too excited over the thought of a 6th round pick. |

True but whoever we get in the 6th round will probably play better D than Streit |

Ithink the Bruins outclass the Kings in virtually every area except goaltending. The biggest factor to me is Chara and Lucic. Chara all but guarantees the elimination of every teams top line while Lucic guarantees a constant presence in front of the net. Neither Chicago or LA afe capable of overcoming those two. IMO the Bruins are nearly the perfect mix of size, strength and skill.
If the Pens struggle to score just a few goals over four games, I doubt LA or Chicago will do much better.

I agree that in a 7 game series the Bruins will probably be too much to handle for CHI, I just don't think that they're gonna clean house like they did against the Pens.
As a general hater of everything Boston, I feel great disgust towards myself..but I'm rooting for them. On top of loving the makeup of their team, it would be cool to see them bring home the Cup after that god-awful tragedy. |

To me Vukota I'm not going to get broken up about any jersey changes. As long as this team spends money and makes good player and coaching decisions I'm good. - ses111
I wont be happy if they change the jerseys. Not at all |

I agree. Team has too much history to change jersey or logo. Teams that win don't make these changes, reference Montreal, Devils, Phila Toronto ( even though they don't win). Keep it as is |

They can do what they want with the thirds, you pretty much can't get worse than the Los Mets jerseys we have currently. But all hell will break loose if they change the home/aways. |

Did anybody else listen to the interview with Yorkman? He talks about the Isles coming to Brooklyn at the two or three minute mark in. It sounds like the are going to Re-Brand the Isles in the future. He talks about adding black & White to the color scheme among other things. First time the reality of them leaving Nassau is hitting. Read the comments on pointblank and you would think the end of the world was coming. Honestly I don't now how I feel about the possible changes going forward - Vukota
Its not the end of the world. They want to market the team to its new home. It would be fooolish to simply move the team to Bklyn and do nothing to market the team to its new surrounding community. So they throw some black into the uniform and throw some Bklyn references in. Keep the name and the main features of the logo intact and you can market the team to its old fans and the new ones you're targeting.
The Nets' marketing group did a great job marketing the Nets. I think they can only help grow the Isles' brand. |

Let's se what the "changes" are before jumpimg to conclusions and getting ourselves ready and prepared to react negatively to whatever happens. If the changes are simply adding some black to the color scheme and identifying Bklyn in the island in the logo, is it really "insulting"? |

MINIMAL changes are ok. Extending the island to include Brooklyn is fine. Having black third jerseys fine. Overhauling the crest not fine. |

Kings lost because they looked tired in my opinion, and were pretty banged up.
In double OT yesterday the Hawks were skating circles are the kings..
Boston will be a much more physical and skilled team.
