That was tongue in cheek....sorry....

I know. Just wanted to give my two cents on the coaching candidates that have been mentioned. I like Desjardins and Tippett the best so far.

Well this is just my opinion, but I'd much rather hire Gulutzan before Eakins.
- LeftCoaster

I agree Eakins would be good with a bunch of young guys . Canucks are an established bunch of vets.

There may be several coaches out there who suit the Canucks.

Doing well in the NHL means jack in the NHL.

You match the players with the coach, regardless of their history. All coaches start somewhere.

- djamon

Yes most of the successful ones start as back up coaches.

What coach hasn't been outcoached

Don't go knocking the Crow

- VANTEL

Outcoached with that roster? That's just sad, and Pitt's defensive system is atrocious.

Krueger must feel good. He knows if he farts in the dressing room he will be replaced
- VANTEL

What...? You don't think 48 games was enough to see if he could coach?

Chances are that you're right, Gillis jsut has to hire one of them and not one of the many more who probably aren't good fits.

If we have learned anything about GMMG we should expect a press conference this week to announce that George Karl is our new head coach.

We do need a coach that is able to teach, something that AV couldn't do IMO. As the Nucks start to inject some youth into their lineup, they will need a guy who can teach and be patient. AV was strictly a performance based coach from what I saw, you play well or you don't play.

They were a very young team under Therrien, have Therrien come in after Bylsma and we're having a very different conversation right now.

The bad thing was, he wouldn't put them in a position to play well... Then sit them for not playing well.

I initially thought that as well because the Canucks are veteran. But if they're planning on transitioning to youth then he would have been good.

This is Gillis' last coach, so I just can't see him taking some no-name from the minors. Eakins isn't a no-name even though he's been in the AHL.

- djamon

If he didn't coach in TO he would be a no-name.

When you have young players trying to develop while playing in the NHL, yes it's very bad! Look at how St. Louis and Ken Hitchcock let Jaden Schwartz develop in the NHL rather than treat him like the Canucks treated Jordan Schroeder.

Dayam

KB 3 is doing cartwheels he called Couturier for months and Lefty said Schenn

I was pushing for Simmonds but we do need a center.

Couterier is cheaper at this time. I think Schenn is more dominant
