I wouldn't change a (frank)ing thing. We were one rookie mistake and a unfortunate deflection from taking this game. Limit the icings unless Chicago is absolutely buzzing and keep the physical tempo up. Lucic and Krejci are in a zone right now, Jagr slows that line down, let Seguin bring his speed to that unit if Horton misses any time. - Cape Breton Bruins

Caron in for Horton if need be. |

As we were going down the stretch, coach should have given some of these guys more chances in the lineup. Except Pangolfo, he blows.
Not a bad idea with Spooner, though. - bruinsbeer69
Pretty sure they sent Spoons home for the summer after Providence got bounced. |

so you guys think that krug, thornton, kelly are going to or should sit
not (frank)ing happening, nor should it
it anything #22 should have played more last night and #16 - Toad in Nj
Don't think anyone expects Kelly or Thorts to sit. Krug could sit, IMO he's struggled for a good couple games. G1 was the first time it bit him in the ass. Like the kid, but wouldn't hate seeing him sit anymore than I dislike Hamilton sitting.
Daug can stay or go, not really concerned with it either way. As long as it's not Pando coming in I think it's likely a wash no matter who replaces him. |

Spooner is indeed home for the summer.
Not gonna happen, nor should it. Yeti either. |

caron is the logical choice, "thick", has been at this pace before
you can not expect yeti to be anywhere near ready for this type of war, would be unfair to him and it's not in the teams dna to make a move like that
caron is better defensively and has played with these guys before in the playoffs
krug needs to stay in the lineup..he made a bad pass that led to a goal
have any of you not noticed how many really really bad plays marchand, lucic, and jagr have made at the bluelines....they were lucky enough to not get burned on them..that's the difference
Qbert twice tried to leave the zone early in game 1 on plays where he thought he could just curl and grab the puck and head the other way..both times the hawks took the puck from him and kept it in our zone for a good amount of time
daug created chances, he didn't score..he was noticeable..he stays in
keep playing 4 lines, can't win this running with 3
no need to panic, whatsoever |

I'm fine with Yeti or Caron, JC probably the safer bet, CS gives you a little more upside.
I'm sure it'll be Caron if Horton can't go which is fine. Can PK if need be and knows the guys. |

Rumor is that Horty dislocated his shoulder earlier in the season while fighting Niginla. It popped out again during game 1 and had to be put back into the socket ...
As someone who dealt with the same thing (I have 3 pins in my shoulder) , I can tell you that this is extremely painful and uncomfortable. It's possible for him to play, but I guarantee he won't be playing physical... And his shot will likely be affected.
Looks like offseason surgery ahead, if true ... |

Yeah, once you get a dislocation, each subsequent dislocation happens easier and easier. Before my surgery, I had gotten to the point where my shoulder would pop out in the middle of the night while I was sleeping.
One thing Horton has going for him is that it's the left shoulder ... The right shoulder for a right handed shooter would completely shut him down. He can still shoot, just not at full power.
So there's a chance he could play again ... So long as he can deal with the pain and discomfort, and avoid collisions for the most part. |

Yep..me too...2 surgeries on the same shoulder...when it pops out it is an ouch for sure....always took 2-3 days to settle down...sometimes longer...tough decision for Claude.... |

Maybe keep him in and give 19 and 68 some shifts rotating in for him. |

Yeah...might work...JS is right about Horton being a righty; his shot might be ok, but extending his left arm out for a stick check will be by tentative...awkward to extend right arm for stick check...
Resting for a few days will help but until surgery is done, it will continue to pop out...
Tough call |

Would be yeti centering peverly and paille if no Horton. - salvadorsanchez

Interesting, I figured if he got in it'd be Kelly between Paille and Pevs and Daug-1EyedJack - Thorts. |

I'm ok with it....some offensive upside with cyclops...I know he hasn't played...I get that, but to me Caron is no better than him...or put cyclops in and bench dogman...
As mentioned before, I like Seguin on first line... |

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Horton play tonight ...
Desperation. The merlot line is toast without Campbell, so with the 3rd line a (frank)ing disaster, we're basically rolling 2 lines. Subtract Horton and things get even thinner.
Great time for Seguin to show the (frank) up.
