You'll see my friend, you'll see...
If he actually had a decent work ethic I'd give it a chance but he's busy cranking it out to cheeseburgers and poutines most of the time. Guys built like Danny Devito. - Pilgor09

Because that required 2 turns behind the net.
Hall can't turn without falling on his ass.
Straight line skater he is probably the fastest in the NHL. - Pilgor09

Sharp came out of nowhere and was a late bloomer no? I thought he was like 26 when he was on the Flyers roster.
I've seen Couturier and he's been giving plenty of opportunity. - Pilgor09
He was 23 and coming off being a huge part of a Calder cup winning Phantoms team. Any GM with half a brain (so, everyone BUT Bobby Clarke) would have never traded him after 22 games. |

I never said he'd be "super-star". But a "star" center? Yes, he can easily be a top 2 center.
And no, he was not "on the fourth line for a reason". Ask ANY Flyers fan, we would literally scratch our heads every game as to why Couterier was buried on the fourth line with guy's like Rinaldo. It made no sense and Peter Laviolette mis-used him greatly this year. - mochoson
So he'll be a measley saiyan.

I see.
My point was no one really got a look at his NHL game so you couldn't really tell.
Couturiers played a 100+ games. I'm not saying he isn't going to get better or anything, but he won't be a star centre. |

Disagree.
Don't see Coturier in Richards. - Pilgor09
Their both average skaters who are excellent in all 3 zones.
Couterier is 100% more "skilled". Richards has skill, but if you ever really watch him stick-handle, he's very awkward. Couterier is a much smoother player offensively. Shooting wise their about even I'd say. Couterier might be have a bit more accurate of a shot.
Richards is definitely more physical, but Couterier uses his size well. He doesn't shy away from contact and will throw hits.
I like to think of Couterier as Jordan and Eric Staal if they were one, complete player. |

where does him being in bad shape come from? have you seen him in person? strong for his height. I mean 10 pounds wouldn't hurt, but Nuge is the one that really needs to beef up |

A very odd thing to say about such a young player considering were literally also in the midst of discussing a player we traded away who was much older and is now one of the better forwards in all of hockey. |

played the whole season with a torn labrum? causing his 5% shooting percentage? RNH with a healthy shouldering meaning EDM with their 1C will do good things for EDM |

If you've seen Couturier and know the game, (I.e. who he is up against, who his wingers are, oz face offs starts in comparison to dz face off starts) then you ought to see an optometrist. he's been giving plenty of opportunity sure, but not an opportunity to put up points. He plays against some of the toughest competition in the league. - GirouxForTheShow
All i'm saying is IMO he isn't going to be a star centre. That's all.
Thus going back to my original point-> I can see a Del Zotto for Cooter trade. |

Thank you. People look at his point totals and honestly just have no clue what their talking about. He has all the potential in the world to form a fantastic 1-2 punch at center with Giroux.
I don't understand the logic some people have sometimes. This kid's played a season and half in the NHL and he's already being dubbed a career bottom-six center?
He can't even legally drink until December for crying out loud |

I see him all the time in the summer, I work at an arena that all the NHL players come to who are from EDM.
Lets just say his gut comes out much farther then his chest.
Difference from being underweight compared to overweight is you have better stamina. I'd rather have that. It's not like Eberle uses that Philadelphia Collins gut to push people around.
Dustin Byuglien I have no problem with cause he uses that poop. |

who do oilers fans think has more value, Hall or Eberle?
not trolling, just curious. - SuperHenderson13
The fans feel Hall has more value. Management value them = (i.e. the same contract) neither one will be traded any time soon as they are such good buddies trading one would be to disruptive to the moral of the team especially the youg core
they are building around. IMO |

Well I mean he put up 15 points playing with Talbot and Rinaldo, and its most likely that his -8 is the exact reason they have a -8 goal differential. He's dubbed a career bottom six center because that's what he is |
