the past 2 days I've seen
markov, kristo and a 2nd for eberle
and
franson, frattin, and 21st for eberle
when ebs has an off season (not even that off, on pace for 65), all of the sudden he's worth scraps. jesus, is everyone on this site RC? |

Kessel's a better offensive player, but to say Eberle is not in his league is blasphemy. Eberle's 3 years younger and had 6 less points last year and this year Eberle's C had a torn labrum.
The level of player doesn't change the fact that your proposal was god awful - TheNugeIsHuge
You may as well propose:
EDM: Hemsky, Horcoff
PIT: Crosby, Malkin, Iglinla, MAF, Morrow, Kunitz, ect, ect.
Which a lot of Penguins fan agree to that.

I'd say his trade was equal to like
Kopitar for Streit, cizikas, and 16th overall |

How about JVR + Franson for Eberle |

He's better then anyone on Toronto, Except Kessel
Learn to read.
And he played with a broken hand the whole year. And he played for a crappy team all year... - Oilers4Life14
Except Kessel is not the same as except MAYBE Kessel.
I can read perfectly fine thank you! Why so hostile? |

Perhaps there is a reason you've been seeing these deals? Perhaps it is you folks who are overvaluing Eberle... you mentioned he had an offseason? So he has had one offseason and one good season, this does not constitute a superstar. IMO |

I would think that you would have to add a prospect with Eberle. Both JVR and Fransons' stocks have never been higher, whereas coming off an "off season" Eberle's is not! |

his age, potential and achieving 76 points as a 21 year old make his value very high.
all there is to it |

I don't think its a terrible offer. rather not do it though. even straight up.
eberle's is only down from the astronomical height it may have reached after last season. still was on pace for 65 but started abit slow. |

Kessel is not better than Eberle? Strongly disagree. Maybe Eberle will eventually be better but not now. Especially now that Kessel has added a defensive aspect to his game. |

well he went to the all star game last year as a 21 year old. And like I said, it wasn't that off of a season. He was 40th in scoring ahead of Evander Kane, Corey Perry, Seguin, Jordan Staal.
Was on pace for like 65P, his centre had a torn labrum and shot at 5%, ebs also had a broken finger for about 4-5 weeks
bottom line is you don't trade a young stud forward for scraps that don't help the team. |

kessel played the 8th toughest minutes of TO forwards, Eberle played 3rd toughest in EDM(played against top lines with Hall and RNH).
Don't know what defensive aspect that is? Shutting down endless scoring opportunities of opposition's 3rd lines? |

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season. with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle |
