Has Anton Khudobin been discussed on here? - NickTheKid87
He's got great numbers, but you have to think that a lot of that is due to him having Chara & Co. in front of him, plus the sample size is tiny. Speaking of tiny, not sure a 5'11 goalie can be a starter in today's game... too many top-shelf snipers around. |

good to know..
UFA Derek Roy was a bust in Vancouver.. what would it take to make him a Flyer? He could center 3rd line with Laughton centering 4th. - MrBigglesworth

I don't know if a "starter" is something we should be looking for at this time. Might have to be a Mason/Other Goalie tandem for this year if Bryz goes. That doesn't sound appetizing but it might be the most reasonable option. |

Pierre-Marc Bouchard is a name I haven't seen mentioned around here... could probably sign him for pennies compared to other UFA's... former 8th-overall, FAST, skilled as they come, has had a tough injury history, but he can play all three F positions and maybe be a playmaker that could help Couturier blossom offensively. |

Mason could still completely implode... they kind of need a stronger safety net than Khudobin, IMO. |

Imagine, if they traded for Marty Brodeur in 1997, he'd be working at a Wawa now, pumping gas - Jsaquella
A. What's wrong with working at Wawa?
B. I am also firmly on the buyout Bryz bandwagon. Makes too much sense unfortunately.
C. All this talk about trading young good centers has me hoping they sign Striet. Even if it is for 3 yrs and 5 M. Then unload Mez if cap space is needed. Hate to write that as I wish him the best. I'm sure the team knows better then I what his chances of healthy play are.
D. No thank you Read for Bernier. Too much youth in goal for a low paid stud.
E. I know this is absurdly unlikely but here it is...Briere and our 3rd to NYI for Nino and the rights to negotiate early with Striet. |

The defensive value alone is worth keeping him. And he's not yet Bergeron defensively, but he's 20 years old and damned close. - bradleyc4
Not seeing that...his defensive game still has a ways to go (his performance vs. Malkin notwithstanding). |
