I like the Hawks chances. But the Bruins are one heck of a skilled, tough and deep team as well.

My biggest fear with Boston, really comes down to how the Hawks handle the Bruin tactic to get under your skin. I think Boston does this better than anyone, and it can work wonders for them.

Marchant will be relentlessly talking trash, poking, prodding, instigating. Chara will be a tower of power. Lucic will be throwing his weight.

If the Hawks stay focused on a strong forecheck and team backchecking defence....and they finish checks without getting lured into extra riff-raff trouble...then they should be OK.

I worry a little about Bolland, Shaw, Bickell...and yes, even our Captain..Toews, getting caught up in the unnecessary provoking. IF we can stay to our game, we have a GREAT chance for another Cup.

boston will destroy them. they'll continue to beat up the opposition as long as chicago can't score on the PP. toews is easily frustrated. kane is invisible when it gets rough. boston will smell blood and attack. if chicago's PP does click, boston's talent is better this playoffs.

Excellent point...the B's get away with a lot of CHEAP CRUD. Hope Scotty Bowman uses his influence to make sure that crud is policed properly and punished accordingly. And our guys HAVE TO BE DISCIPLINED AND PICK THEIR SPOTS to return fire.

This Hrudey, CBC, Bob Cole and their pro LA and pro Detroit makes me wonder if they are just anti-Hawk. During last night's pre-game show, my wife who only half watches while she fools around on her ipad wondered out loud if the Hawks were even playing because there was no mention of them. The camera followed Richards every move. Even the Bruins got more air time. I did not watch any intermissions because I felt it would be more of the same -wish I would have taped them tho so I could laugh at them today.
Now against Boston we are going to get a double dose of Cherry love for the Bruins. Guess there is only one way to shut them up.

I was at an out of town wedding and got back to the hotel in time for puck drop. Wife said all day..no worries...you attend the wedding, the start of the reception and off you can go. I spend 5 hours with everybody and go to leave and i'm the bad guy....

Funny thing was...i went to take a cat nap between the 2nd and 3rd and ended up Zzzzzzzzzz through almost the entire 3rd. Woke up just in time for 'the faceoff' and wanted to tear up the room.

i think Boston will win because Jacobs has pictures of Bettman and the Bruins get away with murder. i hope Chicago wins with their top end skill since that's how hockey should be played.

Hawk page is one of the VIBRANT on HB....kudos to JJ and all the awesome posters who bring their passion and insights to this page.

In fairness to Hrudey, what he said was if the Kings and Quick play to the same level as the first two rounds and the Hawks continue to play the way they did in the first 2 rounds he could see LA winning in Four. Well Quick didn't , the Kings didn't and the Hawks played great. Love the way people hear a little of something and then go with it without doing any homework.

Not sure that is possible. I say engage him between whistles within the rules and make sure we're in the officials ear all night long... about the notorious cheap post whistle stuff he and they like to pull.
