Pulling for Boston so we don't look so bad. Chicago has as many goals as the Pens scored in 4 games in 2 and a half periods.
EDIT: OK now they have more... - cygnus41
I never prescribe to that bullpoop ... root for XXX so we don't look as bad. Didn't watch the game, but Rask was awoken from his dream. |

What do you guy think of picking up Danny Briere when he is bought out of Philly, extremely useful in the playoffs, injury prone I know... maybe on a one year deal - nelson911

And it took a whole round against us for him to wake up sucks to be us.
The formula was pretty evident: trafic in front of Tuukka and move the puck quickly and skate. We couldn't do that. |

I could only see him with us if he takes a similar deal to Scott Gomez. Nothing to lose. |

Bottom line, if Chicago wins, if doesn't matter in the end. It doesn't exactly make us look worse. Why? Because nothing makes us look worse than being outscored 12-2 and being swept in four games. That is something you can't erase.

Exactly. We were just awful. The best 4 teams in the league were right there in the finals. Nobody can argue against it. Perhaps Anaheim deserved a better end. |

Whether it's TK or someone like Briere...there's playoff value and they both wear 48. The difference is Briere is a bit more productive than TK. Of course he makes a buttload of money and plays an advanced role so he should be expected to do that. |

It would hurt to see TK signing with the Flyers. Think about that
Briere is a defensive liability at times I guess. People in Philly were complaining about his game all year...he could look good with Crosby...tic-tac-toe bum! |

Nice didn't take long but that's not the friendliest cap hit. About 800k more then Sid's hit. |

Sid's hit is $8.7 for 12 years though...I think it was a good deal and something we expected. Geno has Ovi's cap hit now. |

I'm not shocked or upset just wish it would have been 9 I know it's not a huge difference. Letang won't be as easy as this one I'd assume
What happened last time Geno signed an extension?

I didn't like how Letang sounded on his last interview. Did you listen to it?I could see $$ signs in his eyes. He'll get $7-7.5M from some team, no doubt. I wish we could re-sign him for $6M though. |

So what? Its less than he would have gotten on the open market and considering what they get in return for the long term, this is a solid deal. |

How much do you think it'll take to sign Mark Streit? I'd say he'll get Gonch's money. |
