I never said the Leafs were a lock for winning the cup if they got by the B's. I would have been thrilled just to have the Leafs knock out the B's. That would satisfied Leaf Nation. Any success beyond the Boston seires would have been a bonus. Even beating the B's & losing to the Rangers, Leaf Nation would have been ok with that at this point in the young developing Leafs.

I would call it the biggest 3rd period collapse in NHL playoff history.

The biggest collapse in NHL playoff history would have to go to the Bruins when they lost to the Flyers up 3-0 in the series and 3-0 in game 7.

But hey, at least the Leafs didn't get swept away in the first round like some other Canadian team who's fans claim are Cup contenders.
