That's correct. If the new team uses a BO or CBO, it has no effect on the Flyers.
However, if you put that as a clause in the deal, pretty sure the NHL will hit both teams with a penalty and nix the deal.

Edit: I actually brought that up concerning Briere.
Say the Flyers trade Briere and a 4th to Buffalo for future considerations. Buffalo then uses a CBO on Briere, and he's then free to sign with the Flyers for like $3M. That's considered cap circumvention, and the NHL would never allow it to go down.

I really could not care any less if the Sabres draft Mackinnon.
I'd rather have Nichushkin for less than what the Sabres will have to pay for Mackinnon. I should say OVER pay.
Grigo, Girgensons, are in the mix at center and I still have high hopes for Kea and even the smaller Catenacci.

edit: my sleeper on defense is still Corey Fienhage. Not going to give you any offense but loved watching this kid last year in the scrimmage. Got a huge backbone if you know what I mean. Mean in his own end and tough on the boards.

I am beginning to not really care who they draft this year to be honest, nice to have one of those TOP players but does not necessarily mean any good will come of it, more to do with team dynamic and how they are coached and the general cohesive-ness of the team and skill level.
