Come on, you know that unless something is confirmed and written to be true, it should be treated as 100% false with no possibility of being true. - jmatchett383
What I do know is if somebody told me something about somebody in hearsay. I would not judge that person based on that. That's my approach to issues like this. |

Round 2 of who do you hate more. Recap from last time. In a match-up between Darcy Tucker, Tie Domi, Matthew Barnaby, and Sean Avery the clear winner was Matthew Barnaby.
In this addtion we will pit Darren Pang, Geno Odjick, Mike Emrick, and Barry Melrose. - youarewrong
And Claude Lemieux should have made that first group over Darcy Tucker. |

But they "go for it every year" so that disqualified them... at least that's the parameters that guy from CA w/ the hipster nick established for me. |

Geno Odjick somehow scored I think 3 goals as a Flyer in one season. Which is odd because watching him skate was painful. That all being said:
- can't hate on the Melrose mullet
- hating Pang is racist against all midgets
- Doc can be annoying, but he's not near Jeanerette or Edwards level.
So I'll go with Odjick. |

If only UFA status worked that way. He'll get what he can command, or what he is willing to accept.

Ouch! Casual....
I knew about the Vezina and Hart Bryz almost won. I even know he was claimed off waivers to play Phoenix. I had no idea about these interviews. I don't follow that kind of thing... - dingo8urbaby

think they are done with Horton?
his injuries are almost on par with Mezzy - Marc D
Definitely.
Never could understand what the obsession w/ Horton was... the guy has always been so far below the sum of his parts, it's not even funny. |

Briere scored some big goals for the Flyers. He came to play when the games counted the most.
The problem with Briere is, when he's not scoring, he does little else. Small guy that is a defensive liability, and injured frequently.
By all accounts a good team guy, great in the room, very good mentor to younger players i.e. Giroux, Couturier.
I think Briere was a very good Flyer during his time here. I don't see any reason to knock the guy. Just my opinion. - PLindbergh31
I'm with you.
Briere was phenomenal in that 2010 playoff run.
That is what I'll remember about him and his time on the Flyer's the most. |

So you think freinds of players are talking to the reporters, behind the scenes? Those people are still hearing it from somebody on the team, or who works for the team. There is still a chain of talk there. It still begins with someone that is paid by the team. - MJL
I think it's more rare to make that determination than it is to never discover who's doing it. How much energy do want to expend chasing down the sources of all these rumours. "Off the record" is as old as reporting. You're spinning your wheels and wasting your time especially when a quote isn't attributed to anyone. The only way to prove who it was is to get the reporter to flip and that's not going to happen. Not to mention addressing the source with the reporter does everything but verify it.
It's a completely useless exercise. It blows when it's happening to your locker room. Losing does that. |

I'll further explain. Do you ever notice that stuff about a player not being liked, or being a cancer in the room, doesn't surface unless it's a player that hasn't played well or up to expectations? Seems to go hand it hand. That's what makes the whole thing a bunch of BS. There is an agenda there from somewhere. And if he was playing great in net, we wouldn't hear a peep about it. Because it just simply wouldn't matter that a few teammates didn't like him. It takes more then smoke for me to place a high value on gossip and rumors. I'm only concerned about his play on the ice. And any of that other stuff is just pure high school immature horsepoop as far as I'm concerned. |

Good points. But I still think it's something that needs to be addressed. Like you said, hard to do. And it normally doesn't come out of a winning locker room. |

Chiarelli's going to slavishly stick within his budget, and Bergy doesn't seem like the mercenary type... I'm guessing he happily accepts a Lucic-type extension. |

Yep. I do agree with the decision to move on from him though. That said, I'm sure he still has some big moments left in his career. Will be interesting to see who he catches on with. If it's someone in the East, be sure he will bury the Flyers. |

I'm going to support the off the board votes here.
Specifically, Paul Steigerwald is the worst broadcaster/analyst in all of North America.
Players and ex-players now take to twitter to make fun of Pierre McGuire at this point. |

I realized one more thing I hate about Pierre McGuire this season. If you listen to a broadcast he's doing, he'll make a reference to the college/CHL team that every player on both teams attended to at least once.
Emrick: "...passes over to Matt Read..."
McGuire: "Matt Read, great numbers coming out of Bemidji State..." |
