yikes..the look of the barclay's center is a little..ugly.

islanderspointblank.com has a picture of the seating configuration. The left side of the picture looks like a terrible way to watch a hockey game. Glad I'll be watching on nhl center ice from here in Vancouver, at least I won't hurt my neck looking through the head of someone next to me while trying to see one end of the ice. wtf were they thinking?

It won't be good, even with newly purchased refrigeration equipment. It will have the same problem as MSG, it gets changed over way too often (between NBA and concerts) to ever set into a nice sheet of ice. MSG ice blows, Barclays ice will blow.

Oh I'm not complaining about it. I've yet to hear very many (read: any) Ranger fans complain about ice quality. I don't think it's going to be a major issue. I do think it will be a bad sheet though.

wang's put a fair amount of cash into the current building, which is why they have a dispute going over his lack of paying rent because they haven't paid him back for the reno's.
