the idiocy of this hire lies in the fact that the Canucks play in Canada. even though they're probably the softest Canadian market after Ottawa, it's still Canada and he's still gonna be harassed after every practice, morning skate, game, etc. he's going to go ape poop by Christmas. i'm shocked Tortorella would even want to coach in Canada but not shocked Gillis would make this hire. the guy has no clue what he's doing.

Cheap I dunno, but I like the Lindbergh right on La Grande Allée. I believe it's under 100 bucks for two double-beds. Pretty easy to find, and if he wants to attend the St-Jean party he has about half an hour of bus to do.

It's been 2 or 3 times now over the last couple months I've read people talking about Montreal having two second round picks this year? Am I missing something? I was positive it was 3. Our own, the 2013 2nd from the Cammalleri trade, and the 2013 2nd from Nashville for AK. |

Last I checked in this thread the Habs had several 1st round picks, at least they might as well have been 1st rounders with the amount of steals they get. |
