He went to the K. Apparently according to some, that's the hardest hole to fill this offseason as those guys aren't growing on trees. - weirdoh

Which makes it a good deal for L.A. Bernier may end up being a top tier goalie and well worth the price. I am just not a big fan of trading high picks for unproven talent. - Ultimate Cyberhabs
A mid round second is not a high pick. I'd guess more seconds don't play in a top 6 role than do.
Well.....except Kristo. |

He definitely had a bit of Marchand in him. Surprised he would bolt. |

Isn't the pick for either 2014 or 2015? Has that draft order been pre-determined? |

And it's a 2nd in 2014 or 2015, so they can choose, if they tank like hell next season, just postpone it. |

Just for the record, I don't think this is a bad deal, but like I said earlier, a 2nd is a pretty high pick. Maybe he will be the answer between the pipes or maybe he will be tarred and feathered and end up in a ditch smoking crack with Rob Ford. |

I've never seen so much worry about losing a 10 minute player, a 12 minute player and a backup goalie as season ending implications in my life. It's frightening. |

That coveted 2nd rounder is what always gets me. At least this was a trade with the Habs. We'd never live down giving away a 1st. |

I think Frattin has a better chance of contributing than the second.

Obviously you didn't watch him play very much. He plays a great style of hockey and would go on these mini bursts of being dominant/point-a-game pace.
Not saying he's a stud by any means, but he's a good fit for any gritty team.
Well he did it for like 6 games so BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!! |
