Cat is the least removed from the wild of any of the domesticated pets. They don't require a human to provide for them and are quite capable of hunting for whatever they require.
We have a very large orange cat who just last week came home with a small rabbit in its yap.

went fishing near one of the hydro dams around Montreal a few years ago.

it was about 100 degrees that day so we found some shade in one of the dam's openings.

caught a catfish, I swear it was like a sewer opened up in the boat it stank so bad. wasn't touching that poop so I just shook it off the hook,
