Is it me or it's rather bizarre that Sakic would come out and clearly state that Jones isn't their pick?
He must not like poker. - Pecafan Fan
Maybe he just wants to (frank) with TSN and their 3 hour jerk fest? |

Trade to move down in draft. Incase another team is very high on Mckinnon at 2 or 3 they now realize he may not be available at 2 anymore. |

Actually, I didn't do that at all. And I didn't do it last year either. But again, if it makes you feel better to do it, then go right ahead. It's certainly not surprising. |

Is it me or the Jays are picking it up since their (frank)wad Brett Lawrie is injured or whatever? - Pecafan Fan

Actually, I didn't. It was all you guys. I was simply pleased with the Nats last season, because they were a surprise. I didn't offer to bet anyone about anything. Am I happy the Jays sucked last year? Doesn't change my life either way, because my team is the focus for me and they played well. As for this season, I already answered Scott's post. Enjoy the run. |

To be fair, almost everyone was laughing wholeheartedly at the Jays, so it's easy to mix up the names |

I'm just surprised that Roy isn't trying to implement the "build from the net out" philosophy.
Edit: That said, being a former Q coach, he knows exactly what Mckinnon/Drouin can bring to a team |

Jays in a nutshell. (from a Jays fan)
Hitting is the strong point of the team. Lind is a pleasant surprise. Cabrera is worth every penny even without the HRs. Bonifacio sucks (called it).
Defense is where no one anticiapated this team sucking and boy do they ever. Time to move on from Lawrie too. His hockey player mentally will forever get in the way of him reaching his potential. Trade him before he loses too much value.
Bullpen I think is fine. Starting pitching is the problem. Not a single starter can say he's had a good first half. You can only rely on Rogers (as a starter) and Wang for no long before they start getting smacked around, i think. |

There is a construction site behind our office...some guy just stopped by and started to argue with the workers. He went back in his car, and he has been talking on his cellphone since.

I'm not a Jays fan, or even a baseball fan for that matter. But Brett Lawrie comes across as an insufferable bumhole. |
