I would love to see our 3 centers as Lecavalier, PLek and Galch. ( in no order)
Vinnie and Plek would eventually give more ice time to the kid while still giving the team some offense and solid 2 way playing.
I wish for Plek to end his career in mtl. He's gonna slow down and propably be a perfect 3rd line player down the road. - WaterBoy
he's been the perfect 3rd lline player for 8 years. it's just that depth at centre has never existed in Montreal. and by depth, i mean quality, not 8 guys on the roster who can play centre if required. |

Kinda like Koivu, who was one of the best 2nd centers in the league. |

Im quite sure he could've been a ppg player or close to it IF he would've played with decent wingers.
That makes him a top 6 player. |

Is the strike getting to you ? - WaterBoy

I'd go double-or-nothing that a hotel room isn't required. |

While I agree about Plekanec being the perfect 3C behind Lecavalier and Galchenyuk (should this scenario ever even have a chance to play out), I don't think this would be acceptable to:
a) Plekanec himself who has to at the very least see himself as a solid second line center, which he is at the moment.
b) Montreal playing their 3rd line center 5M per.
So everyone can joke about Eller, but he's probably one of the more important pieces moving forward. Habs management have to figure out if the kid is a 3C or 2C. Pay him accordingly and move other pieces that would potentially fill that role (or move on from Eller if he doesn't fit where they want him to). |
