yea it's certainly debatable. again, you guys got a hell of a return for those 2 guys and the trades worked out nicely for you.
voracek is the closest player out of any of those guys to carter or richards but carter is a 40 goal scorer and richards is a 30 goal scorer and they played a key part in your finals run and a key part in the kings' cup victory is all i'm saying. - rangerdanger94
Voracek's totals this past Season project to 37 goals and 41 assists for 78 points over an 82 game Season.

In the playoffs MDZ averaged 3:14 on the PP. Moore averaged 1:22. MDZ averaged 17:10 at ES. Moore 14:59. Equal on the PK. :45 to :46.
Like I said, I think the Rangers made a great trade. He has a lot of potential. Also love McDonaugh. Another great trade. - MJL
he took over MDZ's spot towards the end of the washington series i believe. the 1st few games, torts didn't really trust him.
additionally, stralman eventually went down to injury which inserted MDZ back into the top-4 to match moore's minutes.
but yea, this kid is a little gem that not many people know about. he certainly still has to develop a lot more to be a top-4 mainstay but we're all very pleasantly surprised. he's good enough to make MDZ is expendable, and that's pretty big because we considered MDZ absolutely untouchable last season. |

Schenn I think will be more offensive gifted then Richards. Worse on defense though. If you look at Richards he broke out his nth rid /fourth season. Schenn has only had about 1.5 seasons with injuries. |

There were two games. Game 5 of the Washington Series, and game 5 of the Boston Series. Where Moore had more icetime then DelZotto. But other then that, Del Zotto played more by a wide margin.
I hope they trade MDZ then. That would be a mistake. |

i don't care about projections. it still has to happen.
in an 82 game season, the islanders would be projected to still make the playoffs. the flyers would still be projected to miss them. but we know that if we ended up playing a full 82 game season, the flyers probably would've made it and the islanders would've flopped out. |

i hope they don't. this is a defense that could compete for the cup for years in front of hank:
mcdonagh - girardi
staal - moore
MDZ - stralman |

It still baffles me how much that team underachieves. |

Is there any realistic scenario that the Flyers fit under the cap next year without buying out Bryzgalov? Getting rid of Briere but adding Streit gets it done? Would they just have to give away more than Meszaros? |

They obviously hated playing for them. Gaborik was begging for a trade, even if it was Columbus... who is all of a sudden up and coming. Guess it's about time. |

It did happen. That's what the projections are based on. Voracek had a break out Season. And that play was also present in the 2nd half of the previous Season. |

Yes, absolutely. I'd have to look at the numbers to know exactly what has to happen.

I'm more worried about his all around game. I don't have much patience for 2nd line centers who are bad defensively |

briere amnesty, unload meszaros, and resign gus for 1.5 (which i think is a conservative number) and they are around 2 mil under with 12 forwards and 9 d-men. waiving mab would also be an option |

Can't buyout Pronger. Simply uncheck demoted contracts. And then just X out Pronger.

Grand Rapids (Detroit's AHL team) won the Calder Cup tonight. Their top 7 playoff scorers are between 19 & 24..........
No need for the Flyers to ever try a similar path to success. |
