How would the flyers fit that into their budget? They are already way over the cap.... |

I mentioned that in the blog. They are making moves to make space and the Ducks would probably have to eat some of Ryan's salary.

Sad what Anaheim's done to this kid. Year after year they make him seem like he's not wanted and expect him to produce. Maybe we can trade Bernier+ for Ryan after he goes to Philly since they're probably going to buy out Bryz. |

Streit is a nice addition, but still think they need more help on the back end and in net not upfront. Doesn't make a lot of sense from the Flyers side unless they have some other things in the works. |

Coburn?? In other words Murray just wants the pick and is looking at another bust dman to come in to help. I wish our gm could actually want to succeed in the present instead of looking to the future. What a waste of a solid core. If this trade actually goes through I'm all for bringing Burke back in. |

John Carlson for Bobby Ryan.
Caps need top-6 winger support, and Ducks could use another young blue liner to bolster their future. |

Anaheim can get a much better package for Ryan than this offer, and they wouldn't have to absorb any of the cap hit. I don't see this happening. |

I don't think money is of concern for them (having Anaheim take on some of the financial burden) but they are going to have to drop A LOT of salary considering they are already $7,985,189 over and they just "agreed to" 5.25 mill to Mark Streit. I just don't see how they can take on Ryan's 5 mill... That franchise is a MESS! Imagine if Nashville didn't match Weaber!!! |

Buy-out of Briere, LTIR for Pronger once allowed. Coburn's cap hit giving them some relief. They're still cutting it close. |

Sekera, Brian Flynn, and our 16th overall for Bobby Ryan and a conditional 2nd rounder. And we take his full salary.
If we make the playoffs it is a second.. if we don't make the playoffs then it is a 3rd. |

No. John Carlson has played a shutdown and an offensive role for us, and is signed thru at a meager 3.96 AAV for the next 6 years, and he is only 23. Bobby Ryan has 2 more years, at a higher hit.
edit; I should be asking for a pick back. Swap 1sts or something. |

Sometimes I wish I was actually a gm instead of a law intern.. But I don't want anything to do with sekera. Maybe flynn, ott and a first for bobby and a pick |

For
Ducks F Bobby Ryan
Similar cap hits and a definite hockey trade.
No Hemsky for Crosby trade proposal here... |

that is wayyyy too much... sorry.
Sekera is better than you think he is... Travis Yost did a piece on Sekera a little while back thta showed he has actually been Buffalo's best D-man. Strongest opposition... most d zone starts.. least shots.. the whole 9 yards. |

worst trade proposal ever???
mind as well throw in Zach Kassian too... all he does is warm the seats on the bench for others. |
