Still not going to make me throw in a second with Carlson.

that is wayyyy too much... sorry.

Sekera is better than you think he is... Travis Yost did a piece on Sekera a little while back thta showed he has actually been Buffalo's best D-man. Strongest opposition... most d zone starts.. least shots.. the whole 9 yards.

- JVince11

To be honest I don't know anything about flynn. And Sekera scares me because he reminds me of Luca Sbisa. And I hate Luca Sbisa..

I don't think money is of concern for them (having Anaheim take on some of the financial burden) but they are going to have to drop A LOT of salary considering they are already $7,985,189 over and they just "agreed to" 5.25 mill to Mark Streit. I just don't see how they can take on Ryan's 5 mill... That franchise is a MESS! Imagine if Nashville didn't match Weaber!!!

Or you could be wrong...

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $66,328,760; BONUSES: $2,960,000
CAP SPACE (25-man roster): $931,240

Managed that WITHOUT a Bryz Buyout too.

If Weber hadn't been matched then they wouldn't be in this position and wouldn't have gone after Streit so that's a pretty irrelevant point.

That being said, I'm not in favor of coughing up the 11th pick for someone who is a bit of a luxury.

The Ducks should get a lot more for Ryan than Coburn and 11th... and it's funny that they would eat salary...

Aren't the Ducks trading Ryan away to shed salary?

Anyway, he was the #2 overall pick, he is worth a lot more than an underachieving D man and a mid 1st round pick.

If Philly is going to trade for him it's going to involve their 1st and Couturier. for Ryan and Anaheim 1st.

Either way that trade won't happen.

Ryan I find is actually under rated. The guy is a beast

Out of Coburn, Carlson, Myers, and Big Buff...maybe I am being bias here, but I am going John Carlson. Then Buff, then Myers, then Coburn.

Its not nearly as bad as you think. Did you look to the right and see that the number is for 25 signed players?

Buyout Briere and Bryz, Prongers money goes to LTIR and we're set. LAK, Carolina, maybe TB are in worse positions than the Flyers.

How about Islanders trading Nino and the 1st pick for Bobby Ryan...
- kear20

If I could somehow control who the ducks traded with I'd want it to be the Islanders. Probably not that type of deal, but I'd love to pry out Okposo

worst trade proposal ever???

mind as well throw in Zach Kassian too... all he does is warm the seats on the bench for others.

Im curious. . .what exactly makes Coburn underachieving? Granted he isn't going to light up the score sheet with G/A but he hits, blocks shots, is a big physical presence in his own end, is a decent skater for a guy his size. He is a defensive defense-man who played most of last season hurt because the flyers had just about every starting D-man out. That being said, I really don't think this years 11th over all pick is worth Bobby Ryan. Id rather trade Coburn and Nick Cousins and maybe a later round pick.

Yeah were gonna exceed the maximum players, adding an extra bench too.

Did it for the salary not the lineup.

Just got lazy and also left them on to show they have plenty of room even carrying scratches

John Carlson for Bobby Ryan.

Caps need top-6 winger support, and Ducks could use another young blue liner to bolster their future.

That's why you make the trade. Kid is going to be WAY better this year. He finally realized that he needs to be in shape at the beginning of camp, not working into shape 2 months into the season.

What is the deal with Hiller and Fasth?

Fasth was killing it all season and looking great... Anaheim in the playoffs as a #2 seed I think.. and Hiller is starting every game?

Is Hiller getting traded?

yea.. that almost is the case...

Reasons why I hate Homer...

"These contracts are getting out of control. There needs to be a line in the sand where a GM and Owner cannot just hand out max contracts that will ruin the game's integrity"

VERY NEXT DAY...
