I'm okay with the Flyers dealing Read for Bernier straight up, but any other assets to the Kings I really think is over payment. The longer the bidding process continues for Bernier, the more likely the price comes down in my opinion. There is just no way Lombardi can let this process get into the free agency period, I just don't believe he is that dumb. - ravishingone
Homer always overpays so expect Read and a 2nd. I am sure Homer doesnt want to move any 2014 picks since the draft is in Philly and he already lost a 4th. |

How do you know that Read and a 2nd would be overpayment for Bernier?

Especially since Read was an undrafted free agent. Homer aint too bad at finding assets for nothing, let me tell you. |

my opinion, backup goalie - vejim
Based on what exactly? His numbers are solid at all levels and have trended better each season. He was a 1st round draft pick for a reason. LA fans seem to love the guy and if it wasn't for Lombardi bernier would've been the starting LA goalie 2 seasons ago when everyone was clamoring to bench quick. Watching him play its evident he has talent. His only real knock is his height. |

I have a 10 year old son from marriage to my late first wife. This one (also a son) is my wife's first. You're absolutely right: it's totally incredible to me. |

We don't know, but it's more than I want to pay for him. Read should be enough on his own, and if another team is offering LA more than Read then let them get Bernier. |

Yup! All are doing well. M4 was here Tuesday night and joined in the revelry with the grandparents. Mom & baby (J1, per ob18) are doing great. Hopefully we go home tomorrow. |

Yes, Schenns CAP HIT is over 3, but his actual salary is quite lower. The Flyers will give him an increase on his actual salary but it will not be above his current cap hit, which he never came close to making so far in his career. - MBFlyerfan
If he performs this year as he should then I would expect his next deal to be in the same range given his projected ability. Look at G's current deal. I get its a big "if". But Schenn was projected higher than G. |

What problem? Sounds like you just suggested that bernier is similar to bryz. I don't see the comparison. What specifically about bernier would make him a backup goalie in your opinion. |
