I never said you guys were wrong but none of you have given anything but oh he doesn't like him and that's why he was benched and all I'm saying is maybe those were some of the reasons. The truth is nobody knows why except the coaches and the players. I just get a kick out of the oh he hates him and that's why he doesn't play card. I'm just trying to come up with ideas and thoughts of maybe why his time was cut. Please I'm not a big fan of cappy myself. - Vukota
Agreed for the most part...I can't give you a good reason because I don't know. The whole point yesterday was that situations like that have cropped up with players where they find themselves in the doghouse, or out of the lineup, for unknown reasons...and it certainly doesn't appear to be consistent...there are other players that almost seem to flaunt their lazy and sloppy play yet they continued to get sent out for regular shifts and big minutes. I don't know if it's playing favorites, if there's some master plan to it, or what. But it seems random and strange the way justice is dished out at times and who's on the receiving end of it. |

youve certainly done a total 180 since midseason... - LetsGoIsles
This debate has sort of been funny because no one seems to be on their typical sides. Lively though..love it!
Cappy has definitely thrown me for a loop on guys like Grabner when players like Okposo struggled for so long without any calling out or benching. It seemed like certain players would only be identified as passengers, while Cappy felt it necessary to publically call Grabner out. It reasonably leads people to conclude that maybe there's a personal problem there. Still, when I heard that it wasn't just Cappy who was upset with Grabs, I figured there had to be some justification in the matter. Then decisions like playing Reasoner continuously when it was clear the guy didn't belong on a professional hockey team, makes matters all the worse. Still, I think it becomes a bit shady when folks start throwing in the handling of other players and playing connect the dots with conspiracy theories.
It's a messageboard so we naturally are here to debate, speculate and conclude, but we're all on the outside looking in with limited, often misleading info.

Good cause I am happy to hear that. This team still has issues and I want to see if Snow has any brains to fix it. My answer is no. I would be happy with a goaltender, a defenseman and a winger for JT. I think that might be to much for Snow to handle but I am sure he can put his big boy pants on and do something |

Nah NHL talent not AHL talent. We can sprinkle them in at a later date. Nino still feel will not be here at all. Nilsson has to prove he is a hundred percent healthy and Reinhart I believe is not ready as of yet |

I'd actually prefer a "less is more" offseason. I know the Isles have holes to fill, and that you have to give to get, but I like the idea of Nelson, Strome, Nino, Donovan and Reinhart suiting up for the Isles over the next two or so seasons (some as early as next season, others maybe the one after). If it takes any of those guys to get, say, Bernier, then I'd rather pass, be a bit more patient, and wait for them to fill the holes we have over time up front and on D. By that time, I'm confident a longer term answer at goalie will present itself...either in-house or by FA or trade. In the meantime, maybe bring in a goalie that'll cost less in assets (Halak?) for the short term. |

It's quite possible two of those three are ready this year. Reinhart needs probably two more years of development..but along comes Donovan

My worry is that these guys are prospects and that they are not going to pan out. If we can grab a guy like Bernier I say we try. We don't know how Nilsson and or Poulin are going to pan out and as we know goaltending is huge in making playoffs |
