Its a really dark and sad article. I get the whole idea about getting rid of Darcy. But Sully is just tool who acts cynical all the time to appear wise and preys on the negativity of fans and makes a career out of it. 29 teams wont win the cup next year. Buffalo is likely one of them, and no matter at which point they fail, Sully will be right there to pounce on them.

Sully is 100% correct

Media, yea I agree. But I think most fans still like Pegula he is by no means what is wrong with the team. Do I like that he's keeping Darcy around? No not really and I can't possibly understand why but he's done or at least tried to do more for this team than the previous ownership group.

Love Pegula, hate Regier.

Stafford and a 3rd wouldn't get you the caps 1st rounder especially in this draft. Honestly, I'd keep him till the deadline and hope he's having a better year then see where the market is at.

I'm sure you could probably create a deal with WSH 1st rounder and stafford that is "fair value" but what's the point? (I mean from the caps point of view) If they package that 1st with a half decent prospect they'd instantly have 20 offers significantly better than Stafford.

I understand that you are not happy with that article.
However, this mentality that we have as Sabres fans have to change!
Darcy is TOXIC to this team, he is going to do whatever he can just to save his job!
Do we really want a GM here that is going to do whatever just to save his job?
We need a GM to make this team better, and Darcy is not that GM.
And, after reading that article, I agree with Sully 100% as well!

I seriously think the Buffalo media mouthpieces want Buffalo sports fans to be miserable. Because personally, I think Regier has a passing grade as a GM since Pegula took over the team. Its pretty obvious that he was restricted under prior ownership.

If Pegula was the owner? Briere and Drury and Campbell wouldve never left our team.
