They will draft 5 two-way centers and a shortstop.

Pulock, if available, should be the selection at 11. There's your stab at a potential top-pairing D-man with a big shot and physical play three years down the line. In lieu of having the most expensive backline in the league with average production because they insist on overpaying for them via trade and free agency.

No better time to develop one than now - 11th pick in deep draft.

You are overrating Zadorov and to some extent Nurse and underrating Nichushkin. If Nichushkin was Canadian, or anything else but Russian he would be in the discussion for 1st overall.

I wouldnt be mad about Domi at all.. Imagine him with G and Voracek.. I think he is going to be a better Brad Marchand..

I'm speculating that they'll be better NHL players.

Pulock I kind of see as a Darryl Sydor... integral part of an elite top-4 group, but not a carry-the-mail, tough matchups handling, top-pairing guy.

The guys I listed above him I feel have more expansive upside.

I live right by it. And yep been there a lot. Problem is that it's crazy expensive. I can't go very often. And the food doesn't floor me. The beer selection is fantastic and I do like that but the price makes it an only once and awhile thing.

Nichushkin is a much bigger gamble than any of the other top forwards. He doesn't have the stats (even when comparing to others who took the same path) that make him an almost sure thing.

People have gotten really carried away w/ Nichushkin, especially after the careless Lindros comparisons.

Russian factor or not, 18-year-old Malkin would go #1 in this draft year, hands down. Nichushkin is a borderline top-5 pick. He's not even the best Russian in the draft (Barkov).
