This might sound facetious, but I'm honestly wondering... what exactly has the US contributed to the world, cuisine-wise, outside of McDonald's? - Tomahawk

You need to get out more in England and France. The vibrant immigrant populations from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East and the ease of migration throughout the European Union has dramatically changed the culinary scene. |

They also have amazing Indian cuisine in England, but its not on par with what you find in America or Japan. |

I just needed to share this stupidity on facebook with you guys:
our defence is: schenn, coburn, streit, timonen, grossman, meszardos.
backups/young guns: walker, bourdon, gustafson, gervais, lauridson, huskins and foster.
believe me, we are good for defence. we may even need to get rid of some because we have too many! WE NEED OFFENSE!
we need a good forward, i would take hunter shinkaruk. our defence is fine. bourdon, walker, and a lot of defensemen are coming back from injuries. we dont need a defensemen, we need offense
To which my response was:
Foster is already gone and frankly who would want him back anyway? Walker has been buried in the AHL for literally years for a very good reason, and he is a UFA as well btw. Bourdon has post concussion syndrome, Kimmo is a year from retiring. Mesz played 11 games last year and hasn't been consistently healthy since the 2010 Playoffs, but yes, the Flyers who were 9th in the league in goals for and 23rd in goals against last year and absolutely lethal on the PP but somehow couldn't get the puck out of their own zone at even strength last year without lobbing it 25ft into the air over the neutral zone to chase after it should take a forward.

I still wouldn't mind taking a run at Bobby Lu if he is bought out by the Canucks. Really interested to see what the Leafs are offering, if a 1st round pick is part of the package that would be very suprising. |
