I still wouldn't mind taking a run at Bobby Lu if he is bought out by the Canucks. Really interested to see what the Leafs are offering, if a 1st round pick is part of the package that would be very suprising. - ravishingone
can't see anyone trading for that contract. and i hope the flyers are in on him too if he hits the market |

Thats not our problem. The only place that is as diverse cuisine was as America is Japan.
If you go to England all you get is Fish, Balantines, potatoes, and pastry pies. Can only get French cooking in France. Etc. Etc. Etc. - youarewrong
So our true gift to the world is the mass assimilation, dumbing down and bastardization of other food cultures?
I guess that's a little bit better than only being responsible for the advent and spread of processed/junk foods.
As for Japan, they're kind of like the US in that borrowing and adapting are rampant -- mini hot dogs, mayo and corn on your Pizza Hut pizza? Why not!

Might be laught on the beer argument but this pretty much sums up USA vs Canada

And yes Molson and Labatt are both good when you get them up here in Canada. Saskatoon's own great west is an unknown little gem though |

I wonder if Anaheim would take Coburn, McGinn, Talbot and a 2nd for Ryan and a 4th? |

So Bernier is apparently down to the Wild, Leafs and Flyers. Why do I feel like this is setting up to have us overpay? Doesnt the Wild have a pretty highly touted guy in the system? And Reimer was great for the Leafs. |

That wouldn't even get you Ryan without the 4th. It would start with Coburn and the 11th and probably someone like Cousins. Ryan was taken 2nd overall for good reason. He is a great player. Quality not quantity is going to be the cost. |

I had a 6-8 beers of Golden Monkey and I thought my liver stopped processing alcohol. I was hammered, and I can drink. |

That's impressive, cause GM is just under 10% alcohol, and if you aren't ready for it, it will put you on your ass.
I love it. |

Exactly. And then you belligerently deny being drunk. |

They stopped serving them at the AC beer fest because there was too many fights. The first time I drank them I was hammered. It's a good beer too. I like Victory Brewing co beers. I like a hoppy beer like hop devil too. Having a Sierra Nevada Summerfest as we speak. |

Christ I actually welled up a little bit reading that....
He, Lindros, and Gagne were my first "favorite" Flyers. I'll never forget watching him practice his wrist shots from the slot as the lights turned off after everyone went off the ice after warmups.
An absolute class act. I'll be sporting my Briere jersey proudly for the rest of my life, for sure.
I really hope he signs a 1 year deal or something. I'll miss him |

Living in Buffalo, Im very far from a Sabres' fan and was not a fan of Briere the slightest bit. For obvious reasons, all of that changed when he signed with Philly and he turned out to be top of the list for my all-time favorite flyers. Gonna miss that fist pump - Trainfellow
I do that celebration during my ball hockey games every time I score lol |

If they would be willing to pay that much buy Ryan they would've been better off keeping JVR who is virtually the same player (and also drafted 2nd overall).
