He doesn't. And with L Schenn and Coburn already on the team we really have no business taking him. If they want another big, physical D man it should wait til the 2nd round or later.

I have a sneaking suspicion he will either end up in EDM or Dallas though.

I'm thinking Edmonton. Shultz seems to be their future top line offensive defenseman. The Flyers are in a good position because a good defensive prospect should be available. If not, it means a very talented forward fell to them.

You got to admit, very suspicious how Bob started to do well once he left Philly. I have to agree that there is little to no good Philadelphia Flyers writers, I know of none outside of Bill. Don't get me started on the fans......If you go on the Flyers facebook page you see all these dumb comments about Bryz. Lose 1-0 Byz's fault, Opponent gets 10 breakaways a game Bryz's fault. Defence allows cross crease pass for onetimer goal.. Bryz's fault. I agree Bryz has not played as well as he could but last year there were not many games we lost because of him. We lost due to a no show offence or very poor Defence

Trust me I'm totally on the best D man available bandwagon... but if that is somehow Nurse it likely means Monahan is still on the board and Monahan over Nurse is a no brainer.

I see a max of three D men going ahead of us. Jones to Avs, D man to EDM, possible D man to Dallas.

I don't put much stock into anything he says. It still scares me though. This team does not need major changes. I just don't see how they can predict a crazy offseason before seeing how things play out. Last offseason was pretty wild and the team ended up doing very little.

I couldn't disagree more. The Flyers are very light on young D prospects and recent history will show that it doesn't matter how many young center we have, they are taking the best available no matter the position.

Would rather have Pulock, Risto, Nurse - in that order. But I wouldn't lose sleep over Zadorov - I just don't see him bringing more than average offense. Don't they have enough stay-at-home guys? He could prove me wrong though - hell of a physical specimen.

If the Flyers thought like that in 2006, they wouldn't have Claude Giroux. Of course they could have had one of the 5 defensemen selected after Giroux, who combined have played less NHL games than the number of goals Giroux has scored in the regular season.
