He's just such a head case. In the beginning when he struggled he said it was ALL his fault. Now, it's everybody else's fault! - PhillySportsGuy
funny that the king can still make saves on broadway despite all of the shot blocking they do. if he wanted to cite their systems, he'd have a leg to stand on...as inappropriate as it is to cast blame thru your agent, be accurate. |

Here's a beauty from (frank) Seravalli today
"It's OK, guys," Bryzgalov said, according to a teammate, speaking on a condition of anonymity. "I will get bought out. I will get paid for this deal and I will get paid double to play for a new team somewhere else."

The fact that this guy has a job is a disgrace. I believe that line is a complete fabrication by (frank). Either name the "player" who said it, or don't use it - KINGKENZO
I can imagine him saying it as a joke. I'm 99% Frank took it out of context. I just feel they need to move on. He's not good enough to cause all of these headaches. |

Wow anyone who reads this and still wants the guy in town is delusional. - edmac812
It's a typical BS article by Seravalli. Including the ole anonymous quotes! If he can play well and solidify the goaltender situation. Which is a big if. I'd welcome him back.

Seravalli lacks any and all credibility. Might as well be reading the National Enquirer. |

The agent is wrong about that part. He's an Agent, not a Coach. |

I think Mason's puck handling ability is huge for the Flyers. Think of how much better Brodeur makes his dmen because of his ability to play the puck. I'm not putting Mason in his category as a goalie, but the Flyers could really use that 3rd defenseman back there.
Bryz just can't give that to the team. |

Out of context or not is irrelevant, his agent is now too busy putting our fires that his mouth is starting, it's not like we have Patrick Roy who doesn't like the area, etc, |

My votes:
* keep Mez, he has way more value on the roster than he does in trade
* keep Bryz for at least this season and wait to buy him out once Mason proves himself and/or Homer trades for another proven goalie (not Bernier) |

I agree. Love the puck handling element that Mason brings to the team. That would be nice to have. And if the Flyers move on from Bryzgalov, I'd like them to take a real hard look at Mason. He has all the talent in the World. Just needs to get it together upstairs.

His agent's job is to represent his client. I don't think he's necessarily doing a great job of it. He should shut up about all the non hockey related stuff.

Doubt it. Nothing that Winter says is going to factor into what the Flyers do. The Flyers are going to make the decision based on Hockey and financial issues.

His play
Frank has an agenda. The headaches are a result of the back and forth between te media and Bryz. That can only cease if Bryz shuts off access, but im not sure if thats allowable. The only factors that should determine his future with the team are: his play and the long term viability of his contract |

Disagree there. You could absolutely do worse. Far worse. Although there is less of a long term risk, and much easier to move on from if they keep Bryzgalov past this upcoming Season and he falters.

I respectfully disagree. Some of the quotes criticized the Flyers coaching and players. I think many of them would be happy to never see Bryz in their locker room again. Especially after these comments. |

We are on the same page. Others want to bring meaningless issues into and fall into the trap of the drama. Reminds me of an Elton John song. I've seen that movie too.

IMHO I believe Mason will give the Flyers similar play to what Bryz gave them last year at the very least. It's not like Bryz was spectacular. He was solid. I believe Mason can be solid or they can at least bring in a FA who can be solid. It's not even the money at this point. It's Bryz. |

Mason could be more inconsistent than bryzgalov???
How?
Lets see mason small one year deal inconsistent
Bryzgalov 7 more years huge contract
The difference is???
If mason faltered there are other stopgap veterans you could acquire if needed
Anyone backing bryzgalov at this point should sign to be his co agent, or haven't been paying attention, he's being payed like a miller, lundqvist etc, he's not playing like them. |
