I've been a Bryz supporter, but at this point, I just want him bought out and sent somewhere else.

I'd prefer Anaheim's first, but I like it.

Anaheim wouldn't even consider it if you wanted their 1st

I know many feel Mez will be traded, but we haven't even discussed the fact that he may not pass a physical.
- PhillySportsGuy

I wouldn't be against Huskins resigning to play with Gus, with Mez and Grossmann being where they are, injury issues.

the exit interviews and other off ice stuff factor in whether you like it or not. obviously, performance comes first in priority, but issues here also leave a playr in a position of more vulnerability to other considerations. the final nail in the coffin are the contract/cap issues. they are all weighted and deliberated upon in the real world.
- isaiah520

This is Pro sports. The problem is that you keep referencing an exit interview that there is no factual information of what that interview consisted of. It has zero to do with whether I like it or not. This is really simple. It's about performance on the ice, and the contract issues. Nothing more. Because everything else is just speculation and interpretations of comments with an obvious bias. And anonymous quotes and hearsay about what teammates have said and feel. That can't be substantiated. Why even consider any of that? When a very valid case can be made to buyout Bryzgalov based on what we know to be fact? Makes no sense. It's just BS drama.

@ 650k, he'd be easy to move if he gets beaten out by a guy like holmstrom
- isaiah520

His face-off prowess is worth 650k on this team. He was over 55%. You can always bury him in the minors for that price as well.

Here's a beauty from (frank) Seravalli today

"It's OK, guys," Bryzgalov said, according to a teammate, speaking on a condition of anonymity. "I will get bought out. I will get paid for this deal and I will get paid double to play for a new team somewhere else."

The fact that this guy has a job is a disgrace. I believe that line is a complete fabrication by (frank). Either name the "player" who said it, or don't use it

- KINGKENZO

Agree 100%. If you can't name your source, chances are you're lying.

I've been a big fan of Bryz for a while and I still am. I appreciate his unique outlook and him calling out the local media was the highlight of the season for me. With that said though, I'm on the side of buying him out. His play just doesn't justify the contract.

I think we missed the most important piece of the article. Bryz is "the smartest player Winter has ever worked with"

This coming after Bryz said He understood why Stalin did what he did

why not? you have Laughton and draft a Dman and a forward with the two #1s

Because both Schenn brothers are already established NHL players. There is no guarantee that either of the two players you draft will make it to the NHL. And if they do, if could be a number of years before they do.

PART 3: 2013 Mini Mock Draft

NHL.com's Steven Hoffner takes a look at who could go where in this year's Draft

Pulock up to #7.

Nurse at #11.

Would be a perfect fit in Philadelphia, with ex-Eagles quarterback uncle Donavan McNabb able to be mentor him; plays a hard-nosed Philly-type of game

Who gives a crap about his relation to McNabb?

They don't need to trade either player because of the Cap. You rebuild by trading two players that are in their early 20's?

Trading L Schenn, our second best d-man last season, doesn't make a lot of sense when we've already got a bunch of question marks on D.

B Schenn is a 21 year old kid with less than 2 full seasons of NHL experience who was picked 5th overall in 2009 and should probably be given another year or 2 to live up to expectations and promise.

My votes:

* keep Mez, he has way more value on the roster than he does in trade
* keep Bryz for at least this season and wait to buy him out once Mason proves himself and/or Homer trades for another proven goalie (not Bernier)

- Tartan69

And what if Bryz gets injured late in the season, and then you can't buy him out next summer because you can't buy out injured players. Just get rid of him now, before the worst case scenario happens (and with all the Flyers have been through, you can't say it couldn't happen)

I think thats more for career ending injuries. I'm not sure that Bryz can just roll an ankle and not be bought out.
