Yeah, I do think Jacob deserves the job, and tell him he has it finally. Let the kid play. If we're all about strength on the "D", and it claims a monster in the draft, then he will be fine. He's supposed to be "All World".. How would we know? By what we've seen so far in the Panther Shooting Gallery? Rehashing Luongo is a foolish move. Give the future the job, and see what kind of mid level veteran we can put behind him. Maybe Theodore, who knows. Kid should get the opportunity, and know it's his job. - PanthersGoal
Good luck with your move to Quebec... |

I really hope the Leafs don't go after Clarkson, his career only goes downhill from here given his style of play. - ThePresident
Clarkson has beautiful underlying stats. I'd hoped for some reason he'd come to EDM. If TO signs Clarkson their team is immediately improve for years |

I could see a deal w/PITT for Letang, if PITT would like Ryan. The bidding war will drive up the price, but I could see something crazy like (assuming Letang is signed):
Letang <-> Ryan + 1st + Beauchemin + conditional 1st in 2015 if Ryan isn't extended. - mventres
We would never make that trade in a million years. I don't know what you think letang is worth but it's not our best d, a top six with top three upside winger and that many picks. Go home you're drunk.
And I wouldn't put rakell in any sort of deal. If you want that early pick feel free to include holland or smith-pelly |

Like I said, if he starts he needs a solid back up behind him. However, I do not think he is ready. And obviously, neither does the team. |

Clarkson's an awesome fit for the leafs! I don't get some remarks on this post;
1. Is he better than Mac?............Uh......YES!
2. Why would we trade for neg rights? That happens every year. Teams give up low conditional draft picks because once he hits the open market, people can and will change their minds, especially when other teams come calling to woo him, and drive the market up. The smart move is to give NJ a cond. pick, work out a good deal for both parties and move on. If he wants too much, you keep the pick and go to plan B
3. Kulimen scored 30 once (was another comment) And your point? Heaven forbid we have two power forwards who are relentless at the forecheck, and tough along the boards. - gojets
My point wasn't that at all, was just saying Kulemin was resigned at a reasonable offer despite scoring a lot of goals, so to say Clarkson will demand such a high scale price I think is a stretch for Nonis. I could see him signing for like $3.5-4. |

Well, it's my opinion that the club was being secretive towards his injury than the team having confidence in him. |

Rackell? I didn't mention him...I said:

which amounts to trading an older D-man who isn't the most mobile person anymore, Ryan - who is good but very streaky, and a 1st (who could turn out to be a bust). The conditional 1st in 2015 could be anywhere, but likely something in the 20+. In exchange you get a signed Letang who will be the #1 D on your team for the next 6-8 years...I think that's actually a great deal for ANA! |

Not going anywhere.. an arena that pulls in huge profits, proceeds that benefit the county and the everglades wildlife park, charitable donations, owners with their business 10 miles away.. the Islanders and Devils will move before we ever do. |

"This is my home," Briere said. "Wherever I'm going to end up, the kids are staying here and I'm coming back here. Yeah, this is my home. This is what we consider home now."
This is what I was basing it off of. Whether or not the Flyers would want to resign him is a different story but it sounds like Briere would give them a pretty big discount. |

I think he means he's gonna live in Philly area after he's done playing...I have no interest in him being a Flyer...Much better options will be available... |

 Totally not. Letang is not gonna resign in Anaheim, and no rental is worth Ryan, Beauch, and two 1sts. |

Not sure he wouldn't sign in ANA. It's a very good team, in a great location where he will be "the man" and get paid 7-7.5/year. Obviously, and as I stated, the deal was contingent on him signing... |

ALSO! It's 1 first. The other one only kicks in if PITT doesn't resign (or trades) Ryan. |

the Panthers just need to start winning...or at least sign a player who's name you can sell. Not since Bure could you think of a genuine superstar from the Panthers. At least Columbus had Nash. Not poopting on Florida, just looking forward to seeing them compete again |

If the Ducks trade Bobby Ryan and picks/prospects or Hiller for Florida's pick (Jones) we'd be pretty set.
Top six of Maroon, Getz, Perry, Etem, Holland, Rakell or Palmieri.
Top 4 defenders in Fowler, Jones, Beauchemin, Vatanen.
Fasth can hold down the fort and show Gibson the ropes, meanwhile we have Bobkov or Andersen back us up too |
