I dunno, I just heard that LA was kinda down on Kopitar, so I took a long shot saying mabie the Leafs can look into that. Now if I wanted to have fun, I'd say Leafs should go after Stamkos, ha ha ha now that would be funny.

Well yes and no... His scoring slumps are maddening, and the fact he hit one right during the stretch and the playoffs sucked....

But his defensive game was still there, it's hard to find a center who can play 200 feet as well as Kopitar does. He just needs to be more selfish and shoot more. There's almost no chance that LA trades Kopitar, at least not now... Of course if Gretzky can be traded anyone can be traded, but I don't see any offer being good enough to convince Lombardi to pull the trigger unless it's so lopsided the other team's GM will probably be fired over it.

Supposedly it's down to Toronto, Minni, or Philly... I'd put money on Toronto or Philly personally... If it's really Frattin and a first/ Read and a first I'd say that Philly wins that... The only thing that is keeping Minni in this is their ability to send a backup goalie to LA, but they probably want to send him east.

If that's a concern then there are some serious problems in Toronto... Players should be motivated to win a Stanley Cup and to become good enough that the team doesn't want to replace him.

I thought they were getting over that. They were horrible at holding the lead during their playoff drought. They always seemed to find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I really hope they learned from this year.
