if your'e going to ride 2 goalies, stick with the ones you have. the blues formula has worked great for them hasn't it? you'll give up very good assets for bernier who is unproven. halak is cheap?

I don't agree that it's an over-rated stat. Boston killed us in the faceoff circle. We win the series, if we can win a few more faceoffs. The last 2 minutes of game 7 is a testament to why we need good faceoff men. Grabo did absolutely nothing against the Bruins, except get pounded. Did he even have any points? He was one of our worst forwards, in that series. For 5.5, we can replace him with someone like Colborne. He doesn't fit the profile of this team.

Yet still cheaper than your duo, good one ... st louis cap hit is 5.5 yet yours is 9.3 .. pretty sure 5.5 is half decent since most goalies make 5 and over, since with those 2 you can sign for less for couple years and just ride thr wave

What?? I don't get what you're trying to say??? Who's said that??? I haven't seen such a thing said..... people don't want to do this because it's not an upgrade, it doesn't improve the team. They would be adding a goalie that is the same age, unsigned and played less games and his stats aren't better, and subtracting pieces that they need (young guys with speed and grit).

I think this will make the team better. IMO Bernier is a better goalie than Reimer needs a chance to start to really show how good he can be. I just don't think Reimer has all the right tools he good but I think bernier can be great. It's not as though he stuck be hide some middle the road goalie he's stuck behind and all star and conn smythe winner in Quick. Bernier was the kings future it's just turned out Quick was way better than anyone thought and got the step on bernier.
