Any chance the Flyers make minor moves and stink again?
How much slack does Lavi have next year? |

If Heatley gets bought out, he is my first choice. - dingo8urbaby
My knee jerk reaction to Heatley would be "no". However, I was surprised to learn he still is only 32, seems he would have been older. I thought the Flyers were rumored to have interest when he was traded from Ottawa to SJ. For argument's sake here is my projected top 6 as of right now: G, Voracek, Hartnell, Read, Schenn, Simmonds, and Coots. I know I've listed seven, but I can't say I would bump any of these guys for Heatley.
If the core is the young guys, gotta let them play the minutes. I will say Heatley is intriguing, but unless Simmonds, Hartnell, or Read is moved I can't see where he fits. |

I hope Hartnell comes back to earth next year. |

Go get a dogfish 90 minute. Kidding but I think I asked this the other night about Bobby Ryan... Anybody think they'd take Tye McGinn, Talbot, Coburn and a 2nd for him instead of the 11th pick and Coburn? Either way I hope Coburn isn't here next season. Meszaros either. They account for 8 mill against the cap. Streit was brought in so one of the two will most likely be gone. I'd take Leopold, Ference, Scuderi, etc over Coburn or Mesz and they would probably be cheaper. I'd like to see Gagne and/ or Fedotenko for the 4th line. Bobby Ryan would be the guy to get. He would play top line with Giroux for the next 5/6 years. - TonyBazz
Quantity does not make up for Quality. I hope Coburn is here next year. He's a good player. Meszaros is also. But one of them is probably going to go. I'd be okay with that as long as long as they get a replacement. Ryan would be nice, but not necessary. No chance in Fedetenko coming back.

Hartnell is a pretty important piece for sure. He does the dirty work in the corners for G and Voracek. He needs to pot 20+ goals this season, basically return to his career average.

I think Gus is actually the replacement for Mez. They can move Mez and not have to acquire another body for the D, certainly they wouldn't need to this summer

The laughing stock is anybody who thinks Luongo is worth trading for. The guy's getting CBO'd if nobody takes him. |

If everyone including Grossmann is healthy. Which I'm optimistic about. I'm not really counting on Bourdon and Lauridsen. I think there's a good chance the Flyers are going to make some other moves on Defense.

I'm still trying to figure out how he has any trade value? Bryz and Bobby Lu basically have the same contract under the new CBA, unmoveable. I think the Canucks are kidding themselves if anyone is going to take on that contract. |

I'd take a flyer on him if we buy out Bryzgalov. No way I;d trade for him, though. |

Yeah...like Bill said Mez has played his last game as a Flyer. I have cooled down on Coburn, I think hes going to bounce back strong. |

If that happens how stupid does the Canucks GM look? From all accounts Leafs had a pretty good offer for him and now they will let him walk and not get anything? On top of that have to pay the rest of his salary.

Yea see that's my point. Trade Coburn and put Scuderri, Ference, Leopold, or a free agent there. Maybe get a cheaper free agent and have Grossman play with Streit. I'd like to see Lauridsen get a shot at a lot of games too. Grossman is getting better as well. |

With the Flyers, who the hell knows. I think if there's something out there that can make a big splash, they'll be involved. Nothing would surprise me.

Scuderi and Ference IMO are better Dmen than Coburn, dont have a problem with it. |

I think Lauridsen needs more AHL time. I don't think he quite ready for a full time NHL role. I think the Flyers need to be concerned about mobility on the back end. Can't get too top heavy and slow.

I don't think the Flyers are willing to move any of the young players. Read and Mez seem to be the guys to make a deal. |
