From a Leafs perspective though - it makes no sense when they can resign Bozak and just keep Gardiner. Bozak isn't Gagner but he's not far off either.

Put it this way - the difference between Bozak and Gagner is not Gardiner!

From an Oilers perspective,it makes no sense ,when the Oilers have only Lander signed to start the season at Center, to trade Gagner for a player that ,as good as he is, doesn't fit our immediate needs.

Basically, most every Oiler fan and Leaf fan is saying no deal,so lets move on.

Wouldn't trade Gardiner for Gagner straight up. I don't think Nonis would either.

I don't hold Ganger in anywhere near as high regard as most Edmonton fans. Is he really that big of an upgrade over Bozak? If we're going to have to pay a 2nd line center to play on our first line I'd rather just pay the guy we've already got.

Not sure if I would use the word great, but entertaining, yes.
I do enjoy it though as I like both teams.

I only said Gagner Value higher right now because of the amount of years he have already play and show he can produce,Gardiner had only One season with yes great potential but He only have one season under his belt so if He keeps producing the same or better in the next 2 to 3 years then I will said his value is higher but right now Gagner have that advantage IMO.

A lot of times "Potential" is worth more then proven productivity and teams pay for that possibility of a huge payoff. That is why draft picks come so costly....or blue chip prospects that haven't played an NHL hockey game. Gardiner was very good his rookie year and recovered in AHL this year from post concussion issues. Stepped into playoffs and showed how his game has improved even more so then his rookie year.
Leaf fans are very excited to see what he is going to do next year in his real 2nd NHL season.

Offensively he's a huge upgrade over Bozak, but value wise they are pretty close given how Bozak is better at other facets of the game

Gardiner is better than all your so called "untouchables" put together? # 1st overalls and theyre all busts! J Schultz is basically like a winger, but really bad. You suck. Oiler suck. How many 1st overalls you need to be a decent hockey team? Keep rebuilding towards being terrible suckers!!!!
