Offensively he's a huge upgrade over Bozak, but value wise they are pretty close given how Bozak is better at other facets of the game - mochoson
"Huge" is a bit of an overstatement. We're talking the difference between a 40-50 point guy and, at best a 50-60 point guy, which I think is fair considering he's never hit 50 points (and don't bother with "on pace"). Sorry, I just don't see how it makes sense to trade one of our best young defensemen to replace our first line center with another guy who's not a number one center. |

I personally would rather sign Weiss or kick tires on Statsny, I don't necessarily disagree with you. - mochoson
and even then, only makes sense if Grabo is gone too.
Kadri as 2C and Weiss or Stastny as 1C is great.
but Grabo and his $5.5M can't be 3C. Need a Boyd Gordon to play 3C/4C with McClement as the other.
don't see Grabo getting moved in a deal I'd like, and won't buy him out after half a bad season.
rather they stand pat with Kadri and Grabo as 1C-2C, add Gordon./Gaustad, and work on Clarkson/Horton and a top pairing defensive dman to play with Phaneuf. |

Gardiner is better than all your so called "untouchables" put together? # 1st overalls and theyre all busts! J Schultz is basically like a winger, but really bad. You suck. Oiler suck. How many 1st overalls you need to be a decent hockey team? Keep rebuilding towards being terrible suckers!!!!

Not a doubt in my mind. His skill level is already at a high end NHL level. Hopefully his shoulder heals allright. Not sure if he will ever get 100pts per year, but a point per game is a reasonable expectation.

It's not an understatement. I'm not trying to offend, but Gagner is definitely a better offensive player. Anyone cane compare two players on paper with stats. Watching the two of them, I'll take Gagner on the ice when I'm down a gaol over Bozak any day of the week.
This Gagner 40-50 point stuff has gotta stop. This kids gotten better every year he's been in the league. If he's healthy, I easily see him eclipsing 70 points this year.
If Bozak ever hits 60 ill be pleasantly surprised. He just doesn't have that offensive acumen Gagner has IMO

Maybe if we don't bother with "on pace", you can retract your "at best". Sound fair? |

Stastny sounds like a great idea. Wait till Colorado takes MacKinnon, and then take them to the clearners!

From a Leaf Fan;
How about Taylor Hall for Phaneuf? We get our first line center and you get your defensive leader.

So we can safely say there's delusional fans both ways. |

I think Oil should have two set pairs of Hall-RNH and Gagner-Eberle and rotate the other wingers |

Not at all. I wouldnt consider myself a diehard but they are a very entertaining team to watch.
Want a trade to consider Leaf fans? Gardiner for Bjugstad - mochoson
No. Bjugstand looks good but doesnt look like he will become a 1C by any means. We'll just stick with Colbourne as our huge center prospect with top 6 upside |

Hey! I was thinking the same thing! Though I'm ok with gunnar playing top pairing. Would love to see scuderi signed to play with grds on 2nd pairing, lifting some pressure off the top pairing. Phauef-gunnar is a fine shutdown pairing to play 23 minutes a game. Bit more for dion, bit less for gunnar |

The rediculous trade scenarious are out of control, especially the ones Clouts and Eck talk about.
That photo Kypreos took has everyone in a fever. In all likely hood, they were making fun of Murrays lisp, or talking about Dallas Eakins, or real estate in Cabin Country or something non-trade related. |

If there are two realistic players in Toronto I'm interested in, it's Kulemin and Gunnarsson. Would love to have those guys. |
