SOME work? - Just5
They have talent. Just need to play better. They have some holes to fill but I don't think they are as bad as this year showed. |

That cabbie has a cool story to tell.
Punched by a Conn Smythe winner. |

Great to see.
The Flyers have some work to do. - stveshdy
next yr has to be a bridge yr. get back to plyoffs nxt yr and then, hit one out of the park at the draft/ trade and thru some development and a w/ little luck, the flyers could be a minor cup contender in 2 yrs and a real one in 3. must get a top pairing dman somehow, though. |

The young guys have to fulfill their promise. If they trend upward everything will be good, if they plateau not good. |

You might be right.
Problem is they have no patience or plan. Even if they do have a plan its always a one year plan (go for it). That's the issue, they want to win a cup for Snider but they aren't building the team the correct way. |

First order of business is to get rid of the goalie. Obviously he is a distraction to the team and the players didn't have many good things to say about him (exit interviews) based on "rumors". |

It all depends on a lot. I truly believe they'll make the playoffs next yr. If mason emerges as a true #1 and we aquire skilled guys like Ryan and edler, I can see them as a legit cup contender next year |

How do you know they don't have a plan? Obviously they had some plan in mind when they traded their 2 superstars for a youth-core. |

They do have a plan. I actually should of stated that. They go for a quick Band-Aid approach. Its win now mode and there's no patience shown within the organization. |

Idk it depends on the next couple of moves they make. As of now they have just a bit less of 20 million for 10 players, not including bryzs buyout. Toems and Kane are both signed for about 6.3 (I'm too lazy to check if that's right) but I really don't see re signing g as a killer contract.
Schenn will probably have a lower cap hit than he does now, and couts probably won't get too much of a raise |

The cap won't stay at $64 million for very long. Attendance returned to normal levels quickly after the lockout ended. |

The one thing that stands out at least in this final series.
The stars, were absolutely the best players.
Its such a cliche saying, but they took it to another level.

I'm hoping for a discount around what Toems and Kane make, so 6.3/yr. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets 7-7.5.
And that would put the flyers in quite the quandry, imo |

after 2 seasons not one player from the richie and carts deals have been traded.
They didn't give up on Jake after a bad start in philly.
They didn't trade Coots and Schenn for Weber
Simmonds got a 6 year deal
Lavy still has a job after that last season.
Actually I think they are showing a good amount of patience. |
