And these are only the drafted players
Michael Handzus, Ray Emery, Ben Earger and Dan Carcillo. - dingo8urbaby

I just added him at the same time that you named him.
EDIT
I think outside of having a young puck mover and a legit young sniper, we have a solid young group. We have young 2 way forwards, young stay at home defense, young goaltending, young power forwards, young grinders and young playmaking. Maybe it's time the Flyers sit back and stay patient for...ohhh, I don't know, the next 10 years. |

Screw that. Make big deals, get crazy, and lets have some fun!

Who knows! But if that deal is made, what it should get is Paul Holmgren fired! |

I would think it would at least get us the 2nd. Courturier was considered for the #1 pick by some before he got sick. And with this deep draft an 11th could be like a 7th in another year. I would think we could get 2nd and another pick back.

Bill sleeping in today? He probably deserves it.
Re: Coburn to Oilers rumor
Would Coburn straight up for Gagner get it done? We need cap relief, but im not sure how much Gagner would fetch for his new contract. I have always liked Gagner, but to me defense is more of a pressing need. |

Oilers just extended a multi-year offer to Gagner. |

Not done yet, BUT I do really like his 2 way game and we need more 2 way forwards because imho thats where we suffered alot last season was the forwards caught losing there assignments and having leisurely skates back into there end of the rink. |

That would make sense, if Sam Gagner was actually a two-way forward. |

The forwards lost thier assignments because the Defense was slow getting to the puck and effectively moving it to the forwards moving up ice.
Streit will help this, no need to get more of what we already have. |

I watch quite a few Oiler games and he is solid in his own end, not saying he is labeled the typical 2 way forward, BUT he is more so then the likes that Briere, Schenn, Voracek, Hartnell, etc...many times they were caught losing there man, or failing to pick up the late guy coming in etc...just saying more 2 way guys is what we need is all. |

Im talking more about the others team transition up the ice on our guys, I remember numerous times forwards losing there guy going to the net, or lack of hustle back into our end on the other teams rush... |

Yea and we would have 7pick and the 11th that would be awesome - griouxmvp2012
We could end up with risto/pulock and have ghost on our blueline in 2 or 3 years to go with schenn. Get a cheap vet and a # 1 like letang and blueline would be set for a decade. Ahh summertime dreaming, it's sooo great |

Gagner is supremely skilled, but he's small, slow-footed, often soft, poor on faceoffs, and his coaches have been careful to line-match him away from tough assignments... how is that an upgrade over any of our current centers (or even Briere, for that matter)? |
