So Horton and Ferrance are both UFA's. How much do they get in an open market? I don't know but I take a look at them both, especially Horton obviously.

This has 10th place written all over it though. If they're adding, add a lot so that you can at least make the playoffs or subtract a lot so that you can get a superstar in the draft.

Remember Darcy's draft conference presser? Told you then he is in on Briere. more likely here than Pitt due to cap issues. Close to where his kids are now. even the island is a choice i bet for him.

EDM looking like they will pick a dman in draft. prolly nurse. IF Gagner deal gets done soon that is. otherwise go monhan or lindholm. if they go D at #7 then we get lindolm, nichushkin or monhan and id love any of them with #8

Pysyk didin't struggle last year... Even Ruhwedel didn't look horrible...

I LOVED McNabb's 25 games up here in 2011..

Ehrhoff, Myers, Weber, Sekera, and Pysyk will do most of the heavy lifting.

I am still hoping that we sign at least one veteran physical D-man..

They will struggle when they are moved up the depth chart due to injuries or whatever. We could potentially have three rookie D opening night. They will not be the strength of the team

I really do feel bad for columbus but their is nothing they can do. It's not just 10 mil bonus from the KHL its 10 mil AAV. The kind of contract the blue jackets would have to offer him to stay here would be insanity. If he really does bolt to the KHL and they can't find a replacement, I wonder if they go back into rebuild mode and deal Gaborik? (considering he was the main reason they were even close to 8th)

Unless I misremembered (which occurs quite often) wasnt the whole not moving due to have a child born? If thats the case as I beleive so that hasnt changed.

It isn't a bad combo since Ehrhoff was our best D-man last year.. but I would think that with how big of a dropoff there is from there.. that we would have to split them up.

If they go into opening night with three rookie D, this team with have a lotto pick, especially if Miller leaves. If the sign a FA that can play top 4 minutes, then maybe the outcome is different
