Or could have traded a 7th round pick for him before he was bought out. - OneKaneOneCup
I think we could have got him for future considerations |

16th overall for Hagelin, thoughts? - Sabresfan-365
I don't really like it for this draft. I think they could do better. I remember Darcy saying that at the trade deadline, players are valued more than draft picks, and at the draft, it reverses. I wouldn't be shocked to see Darcy trade 16th overall for another prospect. I'm just not sure that Hagelin is good enough. |

Other way around.
Redden and Gomez had to clear waivers before they were bought out. You cant claim a player who doesnt have a contract anymore. - theblueandgold
Oops. I wanted to say. Players who are going to be bought out need to clear waivers. |

I'm curious to see how much Stahlberg is going to get on the open market. |

I thought the same thing. Miller to the Flyers would be like Lindy to Dallas, and, well, Briere to the Flyers. If the return is good, I think I'd love it. |

3 Assists and no goals in 19 playoff games isn't going to boost his stock. |

Flyers weren't going to buy out Bryz until/unless they had a plan in place for another goalie. |

True, but in order to take Miller, the Sabres will have to retain a bunch of salary.

True. I think Bickel's performance nets him north of $4. Stalberg might get $2-2.5. I hope the Sabres aren't in on either of them. |

Regular season Stalberg is a lot better than post season Stalberg. He looks lost when there isn't a ton of space for him |

Who in NA would want that? Maybe he should go back to Sweden and be a star. |

With all that cap space a short term deal for stalberg wouldn't be a bad signing |
