I think we keep 8.. and look to improve the 16th overall by combining it with a 2nd rounder.

Hopefully get to 12-14 range.

once you get out of about the top 15 picks those mock drafts are probably completely wrong

Hmm. I'd probably do that too but based on what I heard I'm guessing that 8th pick isn't being moved. We're likely to do something like that with Calgary and our 16th pick.

If you want that pick from Edm it likely costs us Myers. It really isn't worth it to move up one spot this year especially when there's a pretty good chance we'll be drafting top 5 next year.

It was blatantly obvious they were gonna get bigger up the middle last year. Have they ever made a trade excluding this season with Regehr, Leo that we knew was coming? They will do something that is unexpected. I bet we get to number 3. Just a guess

Myers to move up? He gets you a first by himself. Same with Ehrhoff. It doesn't cost much to move up outside of the first couple picks
