Chiarelli's bumhole is still bleeding from the giant fisting that Nill gave him earlier.

Still hate this trade. Too much upside lost.

Could have gotten almost the same cap space by moving Peverley alone. The prospects are not high-end potentials like Seguin is. Kid had an off year ... He's (frank)ing 21 !!!!

I welcome Eriksson to Boston, but he came at too steep a price.

Will Alfredsson take a Briere type contract? I'd rather just a one year deal but it will probably take 2 to beat out the Wings and Sens.

A better question, do we want Alfredsson? Will be have a better chance of duplicating what Recchi did for us than Jagr?

Reilly Smith is projected to be a 25 goal scorer by Craig Button.

Eriksson is a 25-30 goal scorer who can play both ends of the ice.

Joe Morrow is a top 4 career ceiling....and Harvard usually hits on his D prospects.

Steep cost? Yes. But at the same time, it gives us much needed cap space, especially since Tuukka basically pulled a Flacco and will double his annual salary. This helps us to keep as many guys as possible and get more Bruin-type players. Seguin didnt seem to get it. Seems like those of us on these boards care more about hockey than Tyler did

Ryder? If Tuukka needs 7 a year, well have about 2 left to play with.......unless we use Savards cash

Possibly another salary to go?

Sounds like PC is all in on Alfie, wouldn't be doing it if he didn't have a plan to make room for him.

Alfie made $1 mm last year. He's not worth more than $2mm. He's good 2nd line rw but doesn't solve all probs

As Fluto put it, we lost Seguin, Peverley, Ference, Horton, Jagr, and the Daug man. In return, we got Eriksson and a few other guys who may or may not be NHL ready now or they may never be ...

Chiarelli has a lot of work to do. Thoroughly unimpressed thus far though

Wouldn't have done it, but don't hate it. Love Eriksson, he's a legit 30 goal scorer, natural winger, and plays solid in both ends. Will be a solid B. Joe Morrow is a legit high end d prospect. Other 2 are NHL ready mid 6 guys, both wingers where we're shallow. Add in the gained cap space. If we sign Alfie now on top of this, we're better than we were IMO

Can't see PC shelling out $6M for Clarkson over 7 years which some dipsh!t GM will do. If things get stupid I expect PC to wait it out and make a trade to fill the hole. Not his MO to go full frittata.

If clarkson gets that kind of money we better brace for another lockout.

How many millions have these owners swallowed already in buyouts. Me thinks clarkson is looking at $4mm per over 4 years MAX

Was just told the Bruins' new cap space does not change Horton's mind about ruling out B's. Wants to be elsewhere.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Expectation is Alfredsson will go to DET. Since he's 35+ player, base salary likely in $3.5M range with bonuses taking it up to $5M total.

Too much money....
