Bruins markedly better now in the top 6 and the loss of Peverley should be easily absorbed -- lotsa guys seemingly on the verge of contributing at nhl level. I like it all.
I was dead wrong on Jagr, Iggy is a better fit. Jagr has just lost about all of his 1-on-1 capabilities and is pretty well a waste of a top 6 spot.
Only thing I'm worried about is Rask and his deal. Hate giving goalies huge long term contracts. Loss of Khudobin seems very very puzzling too???? |

Why did he go to Carolina? Ward gets hurt a lot?
Maybe people think its the system and not him? I'd think Pitt, Edmonton, Tampa would have given him a shot? |

Yeah, probably ... Most likely thought he'd have a better chance of proving himself there with Ward's injury history.

some say the thinking on borat was he wouldn't have signed as cheap in boston with much less of an opportunity to start behind rask than he will behind the oft injured ward
we shall see, and not sure i agree with that...but, whatever
we have a possible hole and we had arguably the best tandem in the league |

I'm certainly not as comfortable between the pipes as I was last season ...
Not even close. |

as everyone knows, he was awful this year, offensively
his ability to win faceoffs and versatility to play both center and wing will be missed
someone will need to fill that spot
he had to be moved at his cap $..someone needs to step up |

Hoping Spooner is ready to fill the role ... I see Caron, Spooner, and the 2 new guys from Dallas as the finalists for that 3rd line vacancy. |

I'll be surprised if it's Spooner given the depth at Center, but I expect he'll be the first call up should 1 of our C's go down. I think Camper has a shot at that wing spot before he does. |

Kirk Luedeke @kluedeke29 42m
Loui Eriksson conference call today-he's only 3 months older than Carl Soderberg- they've been teammates on Sweden WJC, International squads |

I'm hoping they can develop Spooner to play on the wing (and be effective) as well as center. I know he looked lost on the wing last time ... He may wind up being one of those guys who is a center and just can't transition to wing ... Which is also fine. He'd likely be Kelly's replacement down the road. |

I'll be happy if Soderberg can become half the player that Eriksson is. |

Remember reading a quote that he wasn't very comfortable playing the wing but was willing to do whatever. Also a LH shot, which is working against him with the others in the lineup. |

Hearing Tuukka Rask's new 8-year, $56M deal should be completed by Wednesday. #BruinsTalk |

He was a big part in use getting to the cup finals. And a big reason why we won game 2 against Chicago.
A little steep and a little longer than I'd like, but haven't we said that about all of Harvards contracts.
I feel he'll be like a Kipper/Lundqvist for the next 6 or so years. Hell have to backbone us to a cup. I think with a person like Tuukka, losing the cup will only make him hungrier |

Said he wouldn't be surprised to see B's trade Kelly &/or Nose
Makes no sense to me at this point, but whatever. Could see them wanting to get out of Kelly's contract maybe. Give Campbell/Paille more responsibility. |

Nose would be a big loss.
That said his diving and other douche antics make him expendable. Hard to imagine getting an equitable deal player-wise tho. Hmmmmm.
I think we're gonna be very happy with cyclolps' game next year. |

This is what he said:
Kevin Paul Dupont @GlobeKPD 2h
Also would not be surprised to see Marchand and/or Kelly traded.
Guy is a grade-A jackass ... Wouldn't read too much into it. The Kelly hit us the harder to swallow... Wouldn't be surprised to see him the next in line out of town if someone emerges in camp. QBert isn't going anywhere though, IMO. |
