Was listening to XM radio last week and Craig Ludwig who I guess lives in Dallas was saying the Stars veterans would be able to provide more support than what he got in Boston....seemed to be a shot at Bruins organization...

Anyway seems like Tyler needs a full time babysitter....

Lets face it

Seguin is a turd. Because of the potential and since we won a cup we put up with it and thought it was funny.

Now that he's gone, and the Bruins and Seguin family have taken subtle and not so subtle shots at one another, we're getting a different picture of him. He's as likable as Jonny from the Karate Kid. A highly skilled a-hole who hasnt lived up to expectations and is enabled by questionable parenting. He comes off as a know it all petulant child who views hockey as something to fit in between binge drinking sessions with a group of sluts and D-bag wiggers. He's more of a Dany Heatly type than a Patrice Bergeron type. I'm happy with the return. Have fun in Dallas. I hope a stripper named Darcy gives you the clap

Wayne Smith fired

http://www.thehockeynews....scouting-an-odd-move.html

Guess several consecutive seasons of failed drafts (aside from the slam-dunks) finally caught up.

Good move

Powerplay accountability next on deck?

I think as with most things, fans of the team shipping out are probably being too harsh, and fans of the receiving team try too hard to convince it's overblown. Chances are reality lies somewhere in the middle.

IMO If Seguin is making $4M next year, there is zero chance he's gone, off-ice issues or not. The attitude made the decision easier, but it was the $ that ultimately did him in.

He'll put up lots of points in Dallas, and he'll be a good player. He is a good player. But end of the day I'm of the opinion the B's are a better team now than they were a month ago, while juggling a declining cap. Dallas got a high skill, high potential kid who may wind up being a cornerstone for their team. He'll get the party thing figured out eventually, hopefully for his sake he and his parents learn to take ownership of their respective faults and get it straightened out.

PPG player for the rest of his career likely but it didn't play the North/South style PC and Neely like. Basically he was too talented to fit into the structure of this squad IMO. Maybe night too talented I suppose, but his skill set kind of clashed with what we got here. Happy with the return, happy to get to watch Seguin play center, and amused by the media who can go from ball washers to character assassins overnight.

i don't buy that argument, I think if he worked hard and kept improving, with none of the continued nonsense then he would still be here
i think the "player X is too talented and creative to play fit in on the bruins" is bull poop
why is krejci always forgotten about when this "argument" comes up..because he hits, he back checks, etc.
if kessel wasn't a female dog and didn't want out he would be here
if segiun could have behaved and produced to warrant his salary..he would be here

i agree with AA and his post

I thought Seguin played terrific in the finals once put with Paille and Kelly(faster players), and that his effort was sincere. Unfortunately he couldn't bury any of his 3475034653904 chances to score in the playoffs(like Jagr) and ultimately that lands on his shoulders.

This trade(and the Iginla signing) were made to round out a playoff roster and to bring in guys with specific skill sets who blend better with the team we have. They are looking to win another cup during the "Chara window" and I support that.

All that being said, we gave up on him early IMO, I think he can and will be fixed and will have a fantastic career its just that the timing of where the Bruins are and want to be in the immediate future combined with his contract/style of play didn't extend the Bruins much patience on the issue.
